Well, I was in Barnes and Noble earlier this week, I was just browsing through the books they have, and guess what retarded PoSs I saw? Guess what of all things I saw books about?
TWITTER!! YES, THATS RIGHT, TWITTER!! THE SOCIAL NETWORKING SIGHT!! WTF? This is getting so out of hand it's not frickin funny!! I mean, I have no problem with people Twittering, and yeah it's successful, BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY BOOKS ABOUT MYSPACE OR FACEBOOK, AND THEY'RE SUCCESSFUL TOO, RIGHT? SO WTF?!
OK, seriously, what's so special about Twitter? You just type in what you're doing at the moment and you can talk to your friends with it. Yeah, big freaking deal. I can do the same thing with Facebook or Myspace, and at least on those, there are more features!! Myspace has streaming music and video, and Facebook has apps for quizzes and other fun stuff, and you can join groups and fan pages and discuss things with people. Twitter only has the message thing or whatever. It's just so damn boring. I only update mine every few weeks or whatev, and the only reason - THE ONLY REASON - I have mine open is because some bands/band members I like are on it, and they announce their tour dates and whatnot.
Plus, the "OMG CELEBS USE IT1!!!11!!" BS I see is getting annoying. The truth is: that's why Twitter is so hyped: CELEBS ARE ON IT. Almost nobody I know in real life or on the internet uses it much, they use Myspace or Facebook. And celebs are on those too, so why doesn't the media hype them out? Simple: Twitter is new, FB and Myspace aren't, so they just want this fad to get done with. Myspace was hyped as hell too, and now everyone says it's dead, and I bet in a few years, Facebook and Twitter will be the same way, and some other new social networking website will replace them.
The point is: the media shouldn't overhype Twitter for stupid reasons, and they should try to make these sites LAST and not end up as fads like Myspace is doing now. So there, hope you liked my little rant
