I worked in quality assurance (games testing - hence best job ever!).
And yeah, there aren't enough thieving taffers around on GameSpot! Thief DP and MA were some of the best plotted games I've ever played and in a time that was saturated with so many violent shooters (Quake, HL, etc.), this style of stealthing gameplay was refreshing and most welcome.
What's Thief 3 like? I still didn't get a chance to play the full version of Deadly Shadows, but from what I saw in the demo, it's totally different to the first two (seems like Splinter Cell in the middle ages!).

ya its quite different than the first two games. U dont have rope arrow, which is a shame, instead u have some magnetic gloves kinda thing.......Environment wise it is still very thiefish, very nice but not upto the mark with the previous thief games. Its expert mode is very challenging.
I guess u are a student.....in a college studing comp sc., right?
I too am a first year student and always wanted to be a games programmer or get into the industry some hw........
and by the looks of it you too like are also trying to do the same....
i will wait fro ur reply.

Yeah, how did you know I'm doing Comp Sci? I guess it's the only worthwhile college degree that even remotely relates to video games... even then it's a very dillusional path to take if you only enjoy playing them... something I found out too late!
I'm final year though - after May, I'm going to leave this field far far behind and seek my true calling (what ever that may be).
Where are you studying?
