So ya, like most people I'm back in school again. Summer is over, again and like last year, summer just doesn't seem to last long enough. Anyway, it's my last year in high school, so that's something to be excited about. I love my job, Blockbuster is a blast and now I got a specific schedule for work so I only work weekends. I guess they think I'm a valuable employee and accomidated me. Well, I wish that's what it is.

Anyway, so summer was fun. I spent my summer only playing Final Fantasy games, which I had never done before and now I'm glad I did. I didn't get a chance to play Final Fantasy VII unfortunately cause I didn't have a PS One memory card, so I just played Final Fantasy X, X-2, and XII. Ten is an absolutely incredible game, it's one of my all time favorites. It's just so much fun to play, you can spend dozens of hours playing it, I spent around 60 hours playing it first time through, the combat is challenging makes you think of strategies and taking risks. Unless you train your party vigorously. But the CG cut scenes were amazing and I just loved the story and the characters. This is one of the few games where I felt attached to these characters and I'll admit it, I felt so unbelievably sad at the end of the game. Just a great experience. X-2 is a good game as well, once you get into it. It's a bit off putting at first cause of the dramatic switch in tone, a more somber and epic tale going into a tale of hip and over the top giddiness. But once you play for a good couple hours, you get used to it. The story isn't as good as X, and it is disappointing there is so many trivial mini-games in it, and how it doesn't have a strong narrative focus. But I got over 80% so I got a good ending, which was satisfying.

XII, on the other hand, I'm not sure what to make of it. I've played 10 hours worth of it and I just don't know. The graphics and CG movies are outstanding and the story is proving interesting, but it's just the combat. It feels like a MMO and the gambit and license board idea is a bit jarring. I don't know what to make of it, it's not really a game I can play for hours on end, I don't know.

But I've decided I'm gonna lay down my bucks and buy a 360 this Saturday. My days of deciding are over and now I'm just going to get the 360. Sorry PS3, just right now, it's not worth it, the game selection is mediocre at best. 360 has a great selection already, so I just don't want to spend my money and make a mistake like I did with the Gamecube. It had some really great games but it didn't really have many games at that too. The game selection for the system just didn't interest me.

Well, I'm rambling. Leave, please leave some comments, if you read this, just leave something, it'll be greatly appreciated!

Adios Amigos!

Long time no blog huh? Good one. You spent an entire summer dedicated to Final Fantasy. Buying a 360 is awesome. I have one and I am continually impressed with it's library.
