I wan't to go home!!!!! *tear* In case you don't have any idea what I'm talking about, a lot of San Deigo was evacuated due to the fires that have swept well, San Deigo. We (me and Jess) live there, and had to leave and are waiting (somewhat) patiently to get home. There is no water though, so they won't let us go. Anyway, I'm just being impatient, but i miss my friends, my house, my town, and dare I say it, my job, yeah I'm so bored, I miss my job. Wow.
Is truly truly awful.
"A mighty pain to love it is,And 'tis a pain that pain to miss;
But of all pains, the greatest pain
It is to love, but love in vain."
-Abraham Cowley
I've blogged on Myspace a little about this so if you read it on there you're pretty much gonna get the same info...
A week and a half ago, i started an ROP (Regional Occupational Program) class for Veterinary Assistance, which i hope will prepair me for school to be an RVT. (Regestered Veterinary Technition). My teacher is really nice, and funny, and it's a very relaxed environment, so, yay! So far i've learned it's more dangerous to be bit by a cat then a dog because cat bites are deeper and cause more infection. (or, are more likely to cause infection. I think it's 30%-50% chance) Also a zoonotic disease is a disease that can be transfered from and animal to a human, such as rabies, tetnis, west nile, ect. We are currently learning health and safety, the proper way to dispopse of biohazardous waste, medical waste, and "sharps" (which are needles, surgical tools ect.). Also we learned about anesthesia, and how it's administered, and how we can keep from feeling it's effects as we anestisize animals. Random thing that happed to me today, i was driving, and that word just popped into my head, i was slowing down at the light, and all of the sudden i say in my mind "anestisize", what the heck?!? I think it was my conscience telling me to study...
I should go do that now...
Anyway, more to come later. ![]()
