So I just saw the Dark Knight, and without going into too much detail (as I'm sure there are a flood of reviews), this movie really screwed with my head. Easily the best comic book adaption ever made, and the best film I've seen in years.
Seriously I'm still shaking.
I'll just say two things.
1. Heath Ledger's death has truly become a tragedy for film, he was destined to be among some of the most acclaimed actors in history, and this is coming from a guy who dislikes almost every other film he was in.
2. I have no idea how Christopher Nolan will be able to make a sequel. There is simply no way that he could top this movie, and frankly do other villian will do after Ledger's performance, after watching this movie I feel that a Joker re-cast is impossible.
Anyways, it was nice stopping by, I might post here and there once in awhile but frankly OT in the summer is...lacking.
Between the summer posters, the election/religion/girl advice threads, and the fact that I'm in an intense program to expand my Arabic which takes up my day from about 7:00-8:00, I haven't had the urge to hang around OT lately, so I think I'll come back when I feel this place freshens up.
Also I've been seeing this girl recently and she wants to do this new thing called "spending time together", so that will probably take up some time too.
Maybe I'll come back after I see the Dark Knight to release some of my giddiness.
You should see Kung Fu Panda, like right now. Probably the best family friendly comedy I've seen since Shrek. Action and comedy mixed Jack Black...sweet.
In other late news, two 10s in two months, and yet Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4 couldn't get to 9.8. Consistency people!
