So I'm playing Saints Row 2 last night, and I'm in the zone, knocking out missions, taking over territories, making some real progress in the game and seriously enjoying myself. Suddenly I get this message that a gamer has joined the game. This was kind of a surprise, as I hadn't realized this was possible. Sure enough, checked my co-op settings, and it was set for anyone to just wander into my game. Before I could do much more than realize that, I get this message from the game that So-and-so is using cheats, so autosave is disabled and you can no longer earn achievements. What the ...

Where is the fairness in that?!? I booted this little bugger out of my game and immediately changed my settings to Invite only to keep that madness from happening again. As it was, I had to restore to a previous save file, losing all the progress I had made yesterday. I was furious.

Let that be a lesson to anyone playing SR 2: Check your co-op settings before you wind up getting burned!!

That is completely unfair! I made the mistake of using a cheat on the original Saints Row and had to restart the game. The default setting should be for private games only. If you want someone to join your game then you'd invite others to play, it shouldn't be set as standard.

Wow, that's a bugger. I would've probably put the game on the shelves for a couple of months if that happened to me.
