...Or five things that you may not know about me (come on Kris, I know you love these posts really ).

I was tagged by my good friend Latte last week to seemingly raucous approval from the likes of Maz and Nel (some friends you guys turned out to be ). Anyway, I'll try not to bore you all too badly and I'm sorry if I regurgitate things that any of you already know about me.

1) I was born and raised in England, but I'm only ethnically half-British: My dad's side of the family are from the UK, but my mother's side are all German Yugoslavs (by this I mean ethnic Germans who lived in the former Yugoslavia).

2) As a consequence of the first fact, my grandfathers served on opposite sides during WWII.

3) My childhood dream was that I'd play cricket for England one day.

4) I was once I very talented singer: I used to sing soprano, but I gave up singing when I was about twelve and sadly let my voice go to waste (years of smoking and heavy drinking didn't help either).

5) Despite being English, I don't like tea!

Well I hope that wasn't too painful a read for you all. I think that most of you will have done at least one of these by now, so I'll not nominate anyone other than Kris, because I know just how much he'd love to write one.

Noooooooooo not another one!!!! And I've already been tagged...unfortunately.

That would be odd, knowing one of your grandfathers may have been shooting at the other at one point during WWII. Don't like tea??!! Is....that allowed?

Awww I really thought this was going to be like an all-Kris blog extravaganza. However, 5 things are always good!

#2 wow!!! Crazy...

And hey...I'm a quarter British, my grandpa was a Brit! Maybe that's where I get my love of tea from...
Posted Mar 30, 2008 11:46 am PT
Lol at 5. That's a big stereotype right?
Posted Mar 30, 2008 11:46 am PT
You don't like tea?!?!
Posted Mar 30, 2008 12:10 pm PT
I agree with Celes.. #2 is just nuts!

I don't like tea either....
Posted Mar 30, 2008 12:47 pm PT
I don't like tea either except iced tea
Posted Mar 30, 2008 1:09 pm PT
Well hey, at least you got your five things blog out of the way now right . I actually found it to be quite interesting too .

Posted Mar 30, 2008 3:03 pm PT
Why would you like tea
Posted Mar 30, 2008 3:46 pm PT
I lie green tea. That's it though. The #1 and 2 facts were interesting.
Posted Mar 30, 2008 6:54 pm PT
Aw! Jake my friend I love it that you got tagged! too! Three Cheers for Latte Well, you told a few things I didn't know, but #2, wow people, if that interest you, you should read the research his brother did. Awesome! Very interesting family history! Sorry Jake, but you should know I would say something.

psst....I like tea. I'm a descend from several great, great, great, great grandparents from England. one main line is Farley!
Posted Mar 30, 2008 7:11 pm PT
Haha crazy brit that doesn't like tea??? How is quitting smoking going? How many days are you at right now?
Posted Mar 30, 2008 8:49 pm PT
You being tagged was worth it. I didn't know any of that stuff. Don't feel ashamed, I don't drink tea either. But in that same breath, I'm not English.
Posted Mar 30, 2008 10:25 pm PT
no.2... that would be strange to say the least. when i was young i dreamed of playing cricket for australia .
way to lay on the stereotype, you don't like tea , isn't that a sin in england .
Posted Mar 30, 2008 10:32 pm PT
umm... those five aren't really good enough... I knew all of them.

Kris: They never fought in the same battle, but it is pretty unusual. Oh, and not liking tea is allowed, even if my friends shun me.

Celes: What would I talk about other than Xenogears and pie-throwing?

Half-Ghost: Indeed it is.

Freya: The only tea I like is Mr. T.

Vaan: Yeah, that one is unusual. You know, it was one of many things that made my school life very difficult.

legend_cloud: You know, I'm not keen on iced-tea either.

Jeff: I'm just grateful that I didn't bore everyone.

Edge: I like neither.

Storm: Oh, it's an old stereotype about the English.

Cecil: I don't like green tea, either. Glad you found at least a couple of the facts interesting.

Nel: Yeah, you were one of the (very) few that read that paper. If anyone's interested in seeing it, I can put a link on my profile.

Shadow: Indeed, I'm a crazy Brit who doesn't drink tea. Let's see, I gave up about four months ago now. I have weak moments now Yuna's left, but I've not given in to temptation.

Ron: What can I say? I'm surprised that I'm allowed to stay in the country.

Balthier: Yeah, I'm surprised that I haven't been locked away in the Tower of London yet.

Yuna: Well you know me pretty well, so it's hard for me to come with stuff that's new to you. Besides, it wouldn't be fair of me to deprive everyone else of the few things that are interesting about me.

Well, we both have something in common with 5! No sterotypes for us
Posted Mar 31, 2008 5:25 am PT
Whaaaat? what did i do? I'm only being a friend Join Us! HaHAhA!

Get back into singing! I wanna see you become that next UK idol u hear?
Posted Mar 31, 2008 6:23 am PT
I like tea and I don't like cricket. The games can last hours!

Is hard to find and English person that doesn't like tea!
Posted Mar 31, 2008 7:07 am PT
Xenogears and pie-throwing is where it's at!!!
Posted Mar 31, 2008 8:20 am PT
Max: Shhh! They'll be coming for you too.

Maz: Sadly you need to be good looking to win something like Pop Idol. Whether you can actually sing or not is completely immaterial.

_overdose: Well there are two English guys on this page that don't like tea.
As for cricket, well I'm convinced that it was invented so that middle aged men in unhappy marriages would have an excuse for spending the day away from their wives. I also think fishing was invented for the same reason.

Kris: Not in this profile. *hides Kris' pies and his copy of Xenogears*

Very interesting. I'm fascinated by WWII, and to think of your grandfather's on opposite sides is really something! Reminds me of some of the stories of the American Civil War. I use to sing as a lad with a soprano voice as well. However, once puberty hit I pretty much lost any semblance of a singing voice
Posted Mar 31, 2008 12:15 pm PT
I've heard about how puberty can play havoc with young, angelic voices. I, however, never even gave it a chance: I'd already packed in singing for other reasons, though I kind of regret it now. Well maybe "regret" is too strong a word, but I'd have probably made a different decision with the benefit of hindsight.

Sif you'd like TEA!
Posted Mar 31, 2008 4:23 pm PT
#2 Wow.
#4 :S

Woot ! Finger's come back on your blog, actually I read all your previous blog posts but didn't leave any comments. I read all your blogs about Yuna and everythings and don't restart to smoke
Posted Apr 1, 2008 11:03 am PT
Storm: That's what I tell my friends, but they look at me as if I'm a freak.

Locke: Yes, sir! Seriously though, some days are better than others. I've been okay for the last couple of days, but right now I really want one. The cravings will subside again if I continue to resist, though. They're also a good barometer for my current mood.
Posted Apr 1, 2008 11:46 am PT
Well, continue to resist. It's better for you that way, without that smoke. Don't give up man
Posted Apr 1, 2008 3:10 pm PT
Thanks and no, I haven't given in.
Posted Apr 2, 2008 12:27 am PT
I wish I was born there for so many reasons. I like tea because it tastes great. It's a bummer about that voice. Sorry if I haven't been commenting on your blogs but I'll be sure to do it from now on. I forgot that we were tracking each other.
Posted Apr 2, 2008 3:54 pm PT
You know, I really didn't care about my voice at the time as it was just another thing that separated me from everyone else (as if there weren't enough of those already at that time). Like so many things in life, it was only after I lost it that I realised what I actually had.
Oh, don't worry about not commenting on my blog recently.
Posted Apr 3, 2008 11:18 am PT
Good to hear you are at 4 months. congrats.
Posted Apr 3, 2008 3:15 pm PT
I've been thinking about what Maz said about the UK Idol. I think you'd win. Wouldn't be everyday, everyone gets to see a singing Zombie.
lol Gotta Ya!
Posted Apr 6, 2008 5:33 pm PT
Nate: Thanks.

Nel: But who'd want to see one?
Posted Apr 7, 2008 12:06 am PT
Hey. I'll track you as well then!

And no, you're still just as hot, despite the age. *shrug* It's only a number, right?
Posted Apr 8, 2008 1:23 pm PT
Well thank you very much. I just hope your boyfriend isn't reading this.
