Today as I was walking home from school,I was walking past this one girls house who I knew from my study hall. She's a grade lower than I and she's pretty cute. But earlier in the week, she was telling me abot this one guy who is in my grade who wont leave her alone, and who like somehow got her cell # and was texting her and leaving her wierd voicemails. She was getting pretty annoyed and she told him to **** off, and leave her alone. Well today I was walking home and I saw this girl outside her houseand as i was about to say hi, she started running at me and panicking. She grabbed my arms and got behind me and started crying saying that the guy was on her porch waiting for her. (He probably got there before she did and when she came home ran into him) Shetold methat he was telling her that shewas his and that she had to go with him. At this time, I looked at him and said "look, you need to back off right now." He told me to go to hell and stood up, and started walking towards us. I took off my backpack and dropped it on the ground. The girl was still behind me crying. I knew at this point, that i had two choices...just tell him to leave and risk it happening again, or actually teaching this kid a lesson. Me and him started to talk and he started to get in my face. I shoved him back telling him to back off and then he took a swing at me. He hit me on the right side of my jaw, and I quickly told the girl to run inside and lock the door. She did and he started to run after her. I cut him off and hit him in his stomach, then his face. He was knocked down and he still came after me. I ducked his swing, and landed a left and right hook. He got a bloody nose and his eyes started to water. He told me that he wont stop till he has her. then left. I went to check on the girl and she was still a little shooken up, and was shaking. I stayed with her till her mom came home, then I left.
Thats my story about today. Protecting the weak. Thats how I roll...god that kid pisses me off. I say, bring it on!
Yesterday 1st period we had an assembly. Nobody knew what it was about. Some thought it was a pep assembly, some thought it was just another speech from our principal. But when everyone walked inot the gym, we could see based on the lights, and videocameras that someone far more important was coming to speak. Someone said it was Kanye, and I stupidly believed him. But as soon as everyone sat down and got settled in, my principal started talking and eventually introduced our guest speaker. The 42nd president of the United States, Bill Clinton!!! It was awesome! Nobody expected it, not even the teachers! Supposedly the principal told all the teachers that the state of IL wanted to recognize my school, (Wheaton North High School) as one of the top schools, but didn't say anything about Bill. He talked about "Giving Back" such as helping your environment, and doing good things.
Then he called this one girl down to the stage, a freshman. Her name is Kendall and my mom and sister know her family and I know her somewhat through them. See, she has had liver problems about a year ago and had to go through many tests, but even with this disease, she dealt with it and started this program called "Kids Caring for Kids" it a program to help raise money for kids with diseases i think. And she, while going back and forth to the hospital, raised over $100,000 for this program, by doing small things like lemonade stands, bake sales, etc. He acknoledged her and then dropped a bomb...He said that he had someone who wanted to meet her and her principal agreed to let her have the day off to go to Chicago to meet Oprah and be on her show!!!!! She couldn't believe, she was in shock and almost started to cry. Everyone, all the students went nuts with enthusiasm. She went and got her bags, and went with him as they left. It was absolutely AMAZING! Definalely the best assembly. The show is airing on Tuesday, so it will be awesome to see her on there.
