It has been quite a while since my last blog, and I just went to level 35, so it's a good occasion for a blog.

The Eternal City has witnessed the triumph of an unforgettable Barça. The victory against Manchester United has brought the Club its third Champions League / European Cup and an historic treble. Barça, Barça, Barça!

We all know about the Barça of the Five Cups and the Dream Team. Now we have the Barça of the treble. Josep Guardiola's unbelievable first season as head coach has culminated in taking the Champions League away from Manchester United, until now widely considered the best team in the world. The English champions were looking to be the first side to win back-to-back Champions Leagues. But now there is a new champion. Barça.

The first treble of the 21st century

1

Until now, only four teams could boast of having achieved the treble of league, Cup and Champions League / European Cup: Celtic (1967), Ajax (1972), PSV Eindhoven ( 1988 ) and Manchester United (1999). Now FC Barcelona has entered that select group, the first team to do so in the ferociously competitive 21st century. The 27th May will now be a day for all Barça fans to celebrate.

A love of good football

2

And what makes victory taste even sweeter is that Barça has risen to the top of European football playing the kind of football that has delighted fans everywhere. The whole of Europe recognizes the Barça sty|e, the natural successor to Johan Cruyff's Dream Team.

The current squad of players has played a fundamental role. In these days of chequebook teambuilding, Barça has reached the top with 7 first team players that have come up through the Barça youth ranks. This combination of home-grown talent and foreign stars is again a reflection of the Club's policy of remaining true to its local roots.

Guardiola's role

3

Guardiola has downplayed the significance of his contribution but there is no doubt that he has changed the face of the team in just one short year. His capacity for leadership, his ability to motivate the players and make them believe in themselves, combined with an extraordinary capacity for work and technical analysis of the game are factors, backed up by results, which have found him a place in the history of FC Barcelona and football in general.

These are the same virtues we saw a year ago (in charge of Barça B) and which won him the chance to lead the first team. It wasn't an easy decision but it has turned out to be correct. Now the Barça family can enjoy the fruits of that decision. And how!

It has been a very long time since I have put a game on my playing list and start playing it, and when I say playing it I mean until the end of the game, trying to get the most of it, like hidden scenarios special weapons, secret items ....etc, well I don't do that for all my games, I just do it for some games, those are the best in my collection, like the Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Metal Gear series and many more, but I should finish the game at least once, even if it's not that good.

What was my first platform?

Well, it was the Atari 2600, I was about 6 years old when my father bought it for me, I was extremely happy with it, it was plain fun, I don't remember the real names of the games at that stage, but at least I remember the spider maze, the police man and the thief, boxing, plane attack, shooting things coming down, and a lot of family gaming, I can't forget the fun of the old games, and how much joy sticks I have destroyed , I will never forget those days .

After that my father bought the Nintendo 8bit, that was a very great platform with a realistic games "at that time " I enjoyed playing Ninja Turtles, Mario of course, street fighters, double dragon, Aladdin, Tanks and a lot more funny games, I was able to stay playing about 3 to 5 straight hours on some games.

Comes after is the Sega Genesis, which was also a gift from dad, I still remember how I reacted when he surprised me with it, in the second day I went to the school running to tell my friends, just to fall on the stairs and breaking my arm (poor me ), a lot of great games crossing my mind from that era, like Sonic, Tiny Toon, Mortal Combat, FIFA Soccer and a lot more entertaining games.

I still have the three of them, with the Atari 2600 and the Nintendo ruined, at least the Sega is still working , maybe someday I will fix all of them.

On my own

Shortly after the Sega I went to by the PSX, I was blown away with the graphics and with the games at that time, games like Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil define me, with Final Fantasy VIII to be the best game I have ever played, the variety of great games and the big list of the PSX games that I have owned (300+ games at that time), led me to spending more than 20+ straight hours of gaming sometimes, the difference that the PSX brought is having a memory card to save your game and continuo from the place you have left it, that was really necessary cause you can't Finish a game that has 100+ hours of game play without a memory card.

My PSX still working very well for me, and I still want to replay a lot of the great games that I have, and every time I remember those games, my soul get full of passion.

here is some of my games

games

The PS2 era

5 years after I bought my beloved PS2, with games like GTA3, FFX, Resident Evil X and Metal gear 2, I own about (150+ games now), actually I still didn't finish all of them, the most multi players game to be played on the PS2 is the Pro Evolution series, challenges never end in this game, playing with Manchester United, my brother with Barcelona and my cousin with France, those nights never ends, a lot of gaming goodness, and a countless hours of playing, you never get enough of it .

PS and PS2

games

Wii, X360 and PS3

Well I still doesn't own any of the three above, but at least I'm planning to get them all, I can't miss any of the exclusives on all of them, like Mario Galaxy on the Wii, Halo 3 on the X360 and Metal Gear 4 on the PS3, at least I have a superb computer that is allowing me to play Crysis with the best settings and running smoothly yay, this generation of games is really fantastic, but I actually miss the fun that was generated with the oldgames like the spider maze on the 2600, that's why I'm planning to get the Wii.

Gaming revival

It has been one year and five months since I have ever finished a game, that was Klonoa 2 on the PS2, two factors that prevented me from playing any game since, firstly I have started to work in a telecommunication company, that is taking the most of my time, the second is that my PS2 isn't working any more , and now I'm between two options, fixing it which will cost 100$ or buying a new one with 100$, a lot will say what? Go buy a new one, but my PS2 version is a more reliable one, so maybe I will fix it, whatever I choose I have to do it fast, because I miss gaming very much.

GameSpot activity

I have regain some of my GS activity, with emblems and leveling to benefit the most, writing blogs, commenting reading news, and watching videos, I still have a lot more to do at GS in the coming days, to me GS isn't just a place to get information about what is happening in the games industry and new games, GS is also a challenging game for me, yes I'm playing GS at this time .

I would like to thank this amazing site for helping and guiding me with my playing habit, and congratulating them for winning the Webby award, live long GameSpot.

That's it for this week see ya later .
