Yep, that's right. I'm starting my new job at an ice cream palor. The place is called Bruster's, maybe you heard of it before? If not just click on the link and you'll see it. ![]()
Finally after about almost a full month searching around endlessly putting dead end applications, I finally struck gold. And since the place is only 2 miles away from my house, its easily bikable or even better when I can get the car.
I walked there about a week ago with the regular routine, giving the manager the completed application and surprisingly, she told me to walk into the back room. That's when she told me that about four days ago a group of employees on the night shift almost got the place terminated because the same night they left the place a mess right before closing, the corporate inspector popped by for a surprise visit. So needless to say, she was pretty pissed that the six people there almost lost everyone's jobs, and from past experiences with the manager's displeasure, they were going to get fired pretty soon. Which makes more room for new people. *smiles*
So today I went in for the automated test, which just like she said was really easy. Just a read and review, nothing big. I aced that, and now I'm apart of the crew! I should start within the week.
Now, I just gotta meet the employees, because I'm sure that now they have a new kid hired right after the fiasco they had with the manager just a week ago, there's going to be some kind of resentment....I just hope not.
So if by some reason you end up in Newark, come by and get a ice cream cone! hahaha

And yeah, I'll have you the manager vouche for you guys for the best union on gamespot! Maybe it'll work!
*whispers* can you give me some on the house XD
If it makes you feel any better, my shift is from 6pm to midnight because of the three 15 year olds that are being hired too. By Delaware law, they have to work the day shifts, leaving everything else for me and the other 17 year olds....
