"...role models come in a variety of different forms even in eye makeup, fingernail polish and tight pants. "

~Adam Lambert

Special Adam Video! And you thought I'd stop posting about him didn't you? Not gonna happen so get used to it. It's a vid of him singing the great song Beth (click the below pic). Beautiful performance, short but amazing but it's got a little something extra. Some very, very special editing. Perfectly describes what I see every time I look at Adam.

----------------------------------------

Screw a break, I thought I'd be busier with work then I'm actually turning out to be so I'll just continue on with my character list.

First sorry to everyone whos blogs I haven't commented on. I try and at least read most of them but I'm usually not here long enough to do even that. I do what I can and if I've missed you in a while apologies (I know some people still don't show up on my contacts list and can I just say WTF)! Or hell let me know and I'll try to get to you. It's hard to remember especially with my insane contact list I can't even bring myself to attempt to sort it, way to many people a lot of whom I know aren't here anymore. I try dudes. Anyway back to the list.

17. Jim Halpert/Pam Beesly (The Office)-

Part of the appeal of both characters comes from their couple and pre-couple relationships. I must admit that for awhile watching and waiting for them to get together did have some small appeal but I was pleased when they didn't drag it out for years and years that ultimately went nowhere like so many 'it' couples. When they made it together they were everything I hoped for adorable, true to their individual characters, realistic, clever and surprising. So many fans complain but you can't want them together and not want together at the same time so I say sit back and enjoy the ride. Individually they're great too. Pam has gone through some wonderful development over the years, from the unappreciated receptionist to the not afraid to be honest about what she wants and go for things more confidently sales person. Jim has always been the funniest slacker with just the right amount of sarcastic wit and a whimsical personality. Over the years he's changed somewhat too. From self proclaimed drifting slacker to someone who takes himself a little more seriously, even if he's still a slacker at Dunder Mifflin, taking the reigns of his own life and not quite so self deprecating or self sabotaging as he used to be. They make one great power couple and I was so surprised and happy over their latest development, a JAM bun in the oven. I think it's a great choice by the show for JAM and it has all the elements of making JAM even better.

16. Jack Hodgins/Zach Addy (Bones)-

Hodgepodge and Zaccaroni, I can't pick between them! Hodgins is a conspiracy theorist open minded all around good friend who isn't afraid to jump into something with his entire heart and defend his beliefs. He's a wonderful boyfriend, attentive boyfriend and though he's sometimes a little biased by his own personal beliefs once you're his friend he'll defend that proudly. He's the kind of jump first ask questions later kind of guy except he asks all the questions and demands honest answer. A true unique. I adored his relationship with Angela more then I expected to. Zach is lovable and cute despite himself, despite his youth he mostly certainly thinks in a Spock/Brennan way. Logic, evidence, no jumping to conclusions and he focuses all that in a very clinical way on every aspect of his life. I never thought his intelligence is what made him somewhat awkward and antisocial but how he applied it to life that set him apart from the world. We all know how Zach's story unfolded so need to go into how devastating it was at the time or how utterly joyful it was when the truth was revealed. Unfortunately I feel like neither of the boys get their proper dues or time on the show, they've each had individual story lines but I feel like they're both unappreciated supporting characters particularly in season 3 in Zach's case and season 4 in Jack's. I only hope they correct that problem with Jack while they have the chance.

Keeping it short!

Ashley

Hey! I kind of agree on what you said about Jack and Zack and I found the lack of using them frustrating at times too! It's like they created these great characters, but they don't know what to do with them...

Im really starting to like Adam, mostly what he says in interviews. A lot of times people try to be uncharactersically funny or politically correct when answering questions, doesnt seem to be the case with him from the quotes and i heard. No worries, with the wackiness of the site you pretty much have to stalk people these days to know if they blogged or not.

Its not exactly over for Zach and even though i kinda like the merry-go-round of interns for Tempy, i'd like to believe he'll be back as a perminate fixture. I agree when it comes to Jack not getting enough stories. Some of my favorite episodes have been Jack-centric. Oh and Sweets has been a great addition to help with the loss of Zach on the show.

Good read as usual. Later

Hey. OH don't worry about the commenting on blogs thing - everybody does it. I have that problem with a couple of my contact list - it's stupid. What's the list for? I haven't been around so I don't know what the list means. Take care.

Cool Title quote and nice choices. I agree Pam and Jim are very lovable and at last a couple that is allowed to be happy. I am curious whether this baby thing turns out to be true I miss Zack and Hogins together and you are right, not enough sceentime. I enjoyed some of Jack's experiments with the new squints (sp?) but something is lacking.

PB&J! Who wouldn't like them? Initially, I wasn't really into the idea of them together. I thought they lost the old spark and chemistry they had when they weren't a couple yet. I'm totally into it now and it's enjoyable just seeing them mature individually during their time apart and now that they're together again in DM. And yes, one PB&J bun out of the oven, please? So true about these squints being underappreciated. I vote ditch the current setup of hiring weekly interns and just focus on Hodgins (hell, I'd even want him and Angela back together just so he could have a storyline again. I enjoyed the episode when Angela's father came to visit.) Great analysis for all of the characters, Ashley!

I don't mind the Adam posting, and I'm not even a little a fan of him mostly cause no one in Norway has even heard of him and I don't watch American Idol

Jim and Pam are what make the Office good. Well and Dwight. The rest is bad. Dwight makes it hilarious, but Jim and Pam are better characters anyway They are so cute and I love them together

I used to love Hodgins, but this season sort of ruined most of Bones for me I was never the biggest fan of Zach but missed him when he was gone.

Love Pam and Jim . Hodgins is one of my favorites (really hope he gets more screentime next season). Can't say I love what they did with Zack in the end.

Dont worry about missing blogs we all do it

Iphigenie72, I get it in part because it is Bones and Booth's show but they give us just enough to remind us what we're missing. Awful.

MarWash, you really nailed Adam . He's always honest and I guess you could say polite in interviews (he's not mean or inconsiderate) but he's honest, glib and not afraid to be sarcastic and just himself. Even though it wasn't exactly a Hodgins centered episode Aliens in a Spaceship is my favorite episode and he's a big part of that. Sweets is more defenitely the best replacement for Zach, considering Zach was irreplaceable but they did an amazing job and for now I like the rotation too. I just hope eventually they pick someone for good.

Sarah_LOST, Good to know I'm not the only one who has trouble keeping up with everyone. I'm doing a countdown of my top 25 television characters. You can check out the last few if you like but as you can see I haven't gotten very far yet. Glad to have you back!

mafalada, I don't see how the baby thing couldn't be true but I suppose anything is possible. There were most certainly some great Hodgins experiments and moments in the new season but without Zach it seemed...less then, though it could just be because without his relationship with Angela most of his stuff got pushed back. I had so wished they'd focused more on his kind of dark times (loving the fiancess he lost, best friend in the crazy house).

mackymacaspac, I don't mind the rotation but I do sometimes wish they'd pick up on the fact that Hodgins (next to Brennan and Booth) may be their best character! Yet next to maybe Zach he is most underused! What the heck is that?
Posted Jul 7, 2009 2:26 pm PT
12678, not an Adam fan! Is that even possible? j/k...sort of. I must admit if it weren't for PB&J I doubt I'd have ever even given The Office a chance. It's true there's plenty of funny but without them it just would not be enough for me.

FriendsSvuLost8, still at the very least he didn't actually do what we originally thought. Better then nothing.

efc91, sometimes I feel so bad though because I remember how it used to be here and how avid I was about the site. I so miss the good old days of 06.

I suppose it was better than nothing because I'll never buy Zach as a sociopath. Still I wonder if the writers wrote that because of the fan's reaction to the S3 finale. So maybe the next season the dream scenario will turn out to be true. Sorry, after this season Bones isn't very high on my list of favorite shows anymore.

FriendsSvuLost8, I'd almost wonder that to except for the fact that season 3 got very messed up story wise thanks to the writers strike so the Zach Gormogon apprentice thing got condensed and I assumed changed a lot from the original conception so I don't think the somewhat negative fan reaction made them sort of re-write what we knew in season 4 it was more like the ending we were supposed to get to the story that got messed up. Or that's how I think of it.

I do agree though season 4 of Bones was weird, uneven, had a lot of boring episodes and messed up things.
