Forgive me but if I don't update often I'll get back logged with all my thoughts about new episodes so as usual read what you want, comment on what you want. Your call. Anyway I figure it's the least I can do because I am way, way behind on blogs. Plus it's fun. Anyway....

------------------------------------

(This is mostly about Heroes though there's a short, short by my standards anyway, nod to Chuck's latest greatest episode)

Heroes: There's...I...just...wow. That was awesome. One of the best episode in a long time. If you forgot why you loved Heroes, if you jumped ship last season give it another shot with this episode. Seriously.

I'm going to just gloss right over most of the Nathan Niki...or Tracey stuff, because as always (since the series began) I do not like them and don't have to much interest in them even when they are interesting.

We'll start with Mohinder. I think we all knew injecting himself would bite him in the butt. There was no way he was going to get a shiny new ability and not experience some unpleasant side effects and thanks to Peter and Peter's future jump we got to see that it gets pretty serious...though they don't actually show how serious.

Matt, through some sort of vision...or magical headphone spooky mojo stuff gets his own visit to the future though it's only in his mind. We get to see little Molly again and she's got a new mommy. Daphne, the little speedster who is giving Ando and Hiro so much trouble, is married to Matt and they have a little daughter. WOW! And wow. Oh and she might be dead, extra crispy. These kinds of things are why I love the future episodes of Heroes, they surprise you in all the best ways. And just leave your jaw of the floor.

Speaking of Hiro he and Ando may be okay after all but they're digging up even bigger problems. Our friendly neighborhood samari. They dug up Adam/Kensei. I'm counting the ways that'll go wrong. But what an awesome ending!

However that is not even the best part of the episode, or the most jaw dropping. Not by far. Okay so future Peter takes present Peter fives years into the future where everyone has abilities, Nathan is president and married to Tracey, Claire is working with Daphne and one of the level five baddies to kill Peter and...Sylar or should I say Gabriel is...just wow. He is living in the Bennet's former home raising Mr. Muggles ...and his little boy. His son, Noah. The name alone is just wow but the whole situation is nuts, awesome and wonderful. Sylar is Gabriel now, he isn't the monster we knew. He's a dad and he loves his son. It's...just wow. Watching him talk about the constant struggle with his power, fighting against it for his son. Sylar was Gabriel, he was a different person. He was Gabriel. And he tried so hard to protect him and when he was killed even before that you could see that he loved him, and then his reaction when little Noah was killed was just heart breaking and I'm not even talking about the explosion. You could see his grief, his pain. He loved his son and that's....huge.

So obviously this is all a giant mind freak for present day Peter (I mean he finds out Sylar is his brother that would make anyone a little crazed), so much so that he somehow thinks it's a good idea to access this hunger that Sylar/Gabriel keeps talking about which later leads him to kill future current president Nathan.

But before that Claire, Daphne and the level 5 baddie whos name escapes me right now come down hard on Sylar and kill his little boy. He flies into a rage and goes nuclear, explodes in a fit of emotion and rage and destroys all of Odessa Texas. I am literally dumb struck by this episode. It is one of the best in a long time. I mean they really are making Sylar the best character on their show. I've always thought he was, though he kind of tied with Peter, but now he's the dead front winner.

I'm loving what they are doing with him, the direction they are taking him. It's brilliance, sheer brilliance. I loved seeing him as a father and getting a little insight into some things about his power (though they are still staying pretty vague and making it as confusing as possible, though that's part of the genius of it all. They're not trying to erase the villain in Sylar they're just showing that it's not as simple as that). As they showed through Peter, killing future Nathan was almost totally out of control. Not in the way that Tracey for example sometimes loses control of her power but it's almost like something in him just changed. The ticking clock went off and he, in Sylar's trade mark move, opened Nathan's head. I mentioned this before on the forum and I'll say it again here, there is something more to Sylar ability.

I'm not saying he didn't chose to give in, chose to let the powers corrupt him, I'm not even saying he isn't a murderer. But through Peter they showed that it's maybe not as simple as all that. That there is something more happening with Sylar's ability, there is at least a part of is that he can't control. I guess the real question is where does his responsibility end or begin?

One thing I didn't get was the ending when Peter time jumped to Sylar's cell on level five. He seemed furious with Sylar for what happened in the future and yet when he was there it almost seemed like....he was concerned for him. It may have been more about the boy and I could be reading to much into it but I did seem like Peter may be the one person who could understand everything that has happened to Gabriel. (Especially now that they have the exact same power, in addition to other very similar powers and several others in common.) After all Gabriel is Peter's big brother.

I am loving everything they are doing with Sylar this season, as I said he has always been my favorite character and again I just love what they are doing with him. I never would have guessed it or even believed it all had someone told me but that's what makes it so great.

And did anyone catch the cockroach? Dum, dum dum, DUM!

If I had one critique for this show it would be the same critique most everyone else has. So much happens, so many details are so important but we don't know at the time and there's much going on that it's really really easy to forget even important stuff. I mean it's not as though we'll forget the big stuff but certain things do escape me. Like I get fuzzy on how some of the original characters met way back in season 1 and other episode specific stuff that at the time didn't seem overly important. (Turn into a review later!)

Chuck: (Tad shorter then usual, the episode speaks for itself .) Really good episode. Lester was funny, and the Devon Ellie stuff was cute, I liked Roan well enough but I loved the Chuck/Sarah stuff. They are really yanking us all over the place in a good way this time.

They're kissing...repeatedly (how hot was that!!! ), they're confessing feelings left and right, they're denying feelings left and right and did I mention Bryce. Though he was only there for a second. And Chuck's in love with Sarah. That was so sweet, Chuck is of course always so sweet about Sarah but this episode had some particularly squee worthy sweetness. To bad Bryce showed and wrecked their last moment.

House tomorrow night, should be a great one!

The Office; Season 5 episode 2 Business Ethics promo. (It takes a second to load for some reason)

Oh my gosh I'm gonna pee myself! Wow, when I first saw this I was drinking a soda and I spit it all over my computer screen. Funniest Michael/Jim moment in a long long long time.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.

New Jim/Pam icon! Had to put it up, I mean come on. I still can't stop watching the proposal, over and over and over and over...

(SEASON 5 SPOILERS) Speaking of the office, spoilers! These are all from officetally so they are solid. One, it looks like Roy may be returning for one episode this season. Nobody panic, though I certainly did when I read that, he is by no means returning to try and get Pam back. Far from it, Jim appears to have an accidental run in with him while trying to escape from a Michael thing. But I do think I know where they're going with this. Jim and Pam had a great season last year, no problems at all. They had a fab proposal but they want to show that just because they are the perfect couple doesn't mean they won't have a occasional bump. Not a break up just bumps especially considering this long distance thing they are currently working on. Just normal problems that every couple deals with, after all not everything can be perfect all the time. I would like it to be but as long as they're together forever, which they of course are, we'll all be fine. They'll be fine.

I did read that something Roy mentions does kind of make Jim nervous about his long distance relationship with Pam, and I get that. He misses her. But Roy will only be around for one episode, Jim and Pam are of course going to have troubles being away from each other for this long, and as I said everything can not be perfect all the time but they will be fine I keep saying that because I don't want to hear all these comments from people who said 'oh I'd like it better if they broke up'. If you think that fine but I don't and I don't want to get into a huge debate about it. Take it to the forums. No offense. I also think they're trying to give Pam more, for a long time she was just the receptionist at Dunder Mifflin. Even after she got out of her horrible relationship with Roy she was still just the receptionist. And now that she is in a great relationship with her best friend and the love of her life and they are on their way to building their life together Pam would of course start to think and work towards her other dreams. After all when one comes true I'd imagine you'd take the others a little more seriously.

Which leads me to two, looks like this program at Pratt will lead to something for Pam. We all knew that was a possibility when she started there, after all she's going there to learn about art and eventually make that her career. We all knew it was coming so no one spin out of control, we've had time to prepare. Apparently when Pam needs cash to fund more art school, they didn't give details about that part, Michael gets her a part time job at corporate! That one blew me away. I mean good for Michael but wow Pam at corporate, nice. Go Beesly, go! Not sure what that means for her job at dunder mifflin but we'll see.

Third, we will finally be meeting Jim's brothers. I had always thought they were saving that day for the time when Jim and Pam were together and it looks like I was right. I can't wait to see that episode. The have already revealed who will be playing Jim's bros, Blake Robbins and Tug Coker. Tug looks so much like John it's actually frightening.
