I will spare you guys and gals from reading another long entry about my woes at work. If you would like to read about them, please click on the following links. I have written two journal entries on my Livejournal concerning my recent new endeavors at my workplace.

July 11th / July 18th

On Thursday, I have received news that one of my friends was laid off from his job. He has filed for unemployment and will take the rest of the summer off before he heads back to find a new job. I am also (trying to) keeping touch with two former co-workers who were laid off from my firm two months ago. Unfortunately, they are still looking around for a new job. I wish all of them the best of luck on landing a new job, whenever and wherever it may be.

Today, I have updated my resume and began to search around for new jobs again. I found a few positions. Although I am not sure if they are the jobs that I hoped they would end up being. I am also nervous about applying but I will go ahead and apply for these jobs and see what I get. One of my friends is offering is help in potentially finding me a position in Veterans Affairs. In these tough times, I'll need all the help I can get.

I'll feel bad for my finance co-worker because he will end up taking over all of my workload in case I do find a new job. He's a great person and is handling the workload we were both in task with very well, way better than I am. I know the office will be hurting since I have been a pillar of the financial operations. If I go, I can feel the office crumble as they either let my co-worker take the brunt or quickly find a replacement for me.

Here are a few things of note, aside from work, that I have done since my last blog entry on June 30th.

* I've mostly been playing a little bit of BlazBlue this month. It's a fun game thought I haven't had the time and energy to truly get good at the game. The only character I'm okay with is Noel. I also play as Carl and Nu from time to time. Most people I versed online must have played the game for numerous hours on end as I can't seem to win most of the matches I battle online. My current record on BlazBlue is 7 wins and 27 losses (ranked matches).

* The only other game I've been actively playing is Audiosurf on the PC. It's a simple game where you collect colored blocks as the blocks and highway go in tune with the song you play.

* My cousin convinced me to play Call of Duty 4 for the first time. I do not play first-person shooters well since you need to be fast with your fingers and react quickly to your surroundings. It's a fun game to play online, but I am awful at it. I'm basically a sitting duck.

* I will purchase The King of Fighters XII and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 as they are released on the X-Box 360 on the last week of July.

* I have not watched any anime or read any manga since the recent set of layoffs. I have no intentions of pursing to watching a new anime or read a new manga as of this time or in the near future. I do intend to attempt to get back to my writing hobby. It is a matter of getting my other priorities straightened out before I get back to writing.

* 2009 Favorite Albums: Alela Diane's To Be Still; Isis's Wavering Radiant; St. Vincent's Actor; Sunset Rubdown's Dragonslayer; Super Furry Animals' Dark Days/Light Years; Tim Hecker's An Imaginary Country

* To those who have read my blog entries, thank you!

---

Again, thanks to all of you who read my blog entry today. I'll try to post an entry on this blog from time to time. I hope all of you are doing well with your lives. Till next entry...

kingrich: I enjoy the game. It's a fast paced combo heavy fighting game. It's developed by the same company which developed Guilty Gear. So if you've played Guilty Gear before, you've already got a jist of how BlazBlue will play as.

Best of luck on finding a new job. Hopefully it won't give you as much trouble as your previous one. I actually just got a job doing dry wall, so I'm working 50 hours a week now. I was actually thinking about getting BlazBlue, but I don't really have an adequate amount of time to play Xbox anymore.
