Have you seen the new ODST commercial? CHECK IT OUT. Amazing. Now this commercial makes me think what's really going on in the Halo universe that is never really shown in the game. You don't think about how these men and women in the story sacrifice their lives in what seems to be a losing war. The covenant have superior weapons technology and are stronger physically, exluding the grunts. 
Seeing that the humans have no chance against the covenant; no wonder they look at the Master Chief for hope.
Anyways, what are you're thoughts on the commercial? Do you like it? Does it change your perspective on the war against the covenant? Halo Movie in the future?

I'm not the biggest Halo fan, but I've played my share of Halo 3 with a friend. That commercial was pretty cool, but I'm not really sure what you're talking about with the human vs. covenant thingy. Must be the back-story...

Don't make me watch the commercial...then I'll have to buy it and I don't have the money or the time to play it online. besides I suck at Halo mp. btw isn't cod 4 on sale at gs this weekend?

@gow117 - Actually, I did watch the 3 short Halo clips by Blomkamp. The first was ok, showing the weapons and vehicles being made, but the last 2 were amazing. Pretty cool seeing them trying to pinpoint Master Chiefs landing which ties into the beginning of Halo 3. I saved the videos on my 360 hard drive to watch them every now and then.

@mitu123 - I always thought they should make it CGI if it there a movie. But, if a commercial can look this good. Then it's certainly doable to have real actors in the movie.

@thrubeingcool13 - It's the main story. The Covenant are a group of different alien races under the same religious belief, that believe setting off the Halo's, are their path to salvation. The humans on the other hand know that it's not a path to salvation, but destruction of the galaxy.

just kidding (kind of) you're missing out. You know how suggestible I am, I'll be eating Ramen noodles all month cuz of this commercial and GH5. alright, let me at least have my second cup of coffee first. I already see my money growing wings as I type.

@phoenyx9 - I had egg drop soup with ramen noodles yesterday for supper. Delicious. I'm waiting for a price drop on CoD4. Looking at $30 max and $20 minimum (new). Watched the commercial, yet?

there are several Halo books out there that I'm sure fill in the gaps. who has time to read with all these games coming out.

Watch the Halo3 one, its awesome, this if you havent. As for the human role/condition in all of this, ill just wait for Reach to understand things better..in a halo game, that is. A Halo movie would be amazing btw...one wouldnt be enough though
