I've been well excited since I found I can order the region 1 dvd version online, only to have it posted to me on the 17th of January well before the release date of 22nd of January. Well today it turned up on my doormat only for me to open it up and discover that the disc is scratched to hell and back.

The manufacterers who put the DVD into its dvd case hadnt put it tight into the DVD bed and it has popped out and the inners of it has scratched the disc I dont want to play it get half way through the movie only to have to switch it off because I can not wtach it due to it freezing or locking up every couple of seconds, so I have got in touch with PlayUSA.com told them about the problem.

They were ever so appologetic to me, the person I spoke to couldnt say he was sorry for the inconvenience that was caused to me with this fault on the item, and that he would send me an e-mail with returns information and I was to send it back and they would get me a new copy of Saw IV.

So all that waiting only to have my hopes dashed in 0.5 seconds flat!!! I have to send the damn thing back and wait for another one so that could take anything upto 7 to 10 days with the postal service and then their returns department dealing with the return and then them getting a new copy out to me! So I will be able to post what I think of it when I actually get a working copy!

And then you have to pay for the postage, too. At least I did when I had this problem a few years back. At least it wasn't a new release though.

They can't make up for the disappointment you are feeling and they can't cover that even if they were willing.

Yes I have to pay for the postage back to them when they sent it to me for free. The only thing that is going to make up for my disappointment is a working DVD with no scratches lol As long as I get a copy I dont really mind you know, but I have been waiting for so long I was dead excited and then I find this out and have to wait a little bit longer

Thats too bad. At least they're doing something. I'm sure there are plenty of places who would wash their hands of it or blame the post office or something!

Don't worry, Saw sucks anyway (except the first one)

Saw movies only blow if you want a classic plot and interesting story. If you care for blood, guts, gratuitous gore and plenty of graphic violence that brings an X rating this is my and your styIe of cinema. I don't care if the story makes and sense. I just adore horror movies and I love zombies and I want to see more slashing and killing. Bring on the monsters

Chris.... Saw might suck to you, but its my kind of movie, and what you might find sucky and boring I may find brilliant its a world with each to their own opinions mate

Ah, the joys of having certain items mailed from one place to another. Still, there's really no excuse for that kind of incompetence.

That sucks.

It's annoying when something like that happens... especially when you've really been anticipating something. If I was you I would just ignore of it's existence until it arrives, although it's easier said than done.
