Pretty poisonly good
Rested and relaxed, man thats the way to feel after an awesome 3 day weekend. After the first 2 weeks of school it was nice to have that extra day off and spend some quality time with the crowd of Arkham, yes I mean the game but I also mean the Batman animated series. I just couldnt get enough of the Dark Knight after playing AA so I loaded up my netflix queue with a little Bat-action. I have seen small amounts of the show here and there, enough to know Id like it and happily I put in the first disc and was blown away. Excellent writing and voice acting (many of them are the same from AA) and the series gives AA fans a great way to learn more about not only Batman but some of the many villians he faces in the game. The first disc includes 2 eps of the Joker, 1 of Poison Ivy, 1 of Scarecrow and a few others. Any fan of the Bat, I couldnt recommend this more.
Having cake and eating it
I pretty much took my weekend easy watching anime, Batman, playing VC and AA and I had a cookout with my family. The grill had a few bacon cheddar burgers, bratwursts and hot dogs on it, all great stuff, for dessert my mom made a angel food cake with strawberry ice cream inside, I dont actually know how thats made buts damn good.
Blu-Rei II?
Labor Day weekend for some strange reason always had an abundance of sales ranging from clothes to games to movies, pretty much anything you can imagine. I took full advantage of it, going to Best Buy they had a 10 dollar off promo for buying Gladiator and Braveheart on Blu-Ray together, each disc has a 10 dollar rebate if you own them on DVD already so for the upgrade I paid a full 12 bucks for both movies!
Last but certainly not least Ive been doing some drawing this past week in school (math especially, because its so boring) and I did a drawing in my notebook, I spent quite a bit of time getting everything just right and since I love to write I organized a small poem to go with what I drew.

Gladiator and Braveheart for only $12, on Blu-ray no less?!? Great scott, I wish I had known of this! Gladiator was an excellent film.
Love the drawing man. Unfortunately, I can't read the text, whether that be my monitor or just the size.
Glad you're enjoying the animated series! Spiderman and Batman were some of my favorites as a child - watching reruns regularly on television. I should definitely return to Gotham sometime, seeing as I would probably appreciate the lore of the Batman universe now at this time and age.
Omg, ice cream in a cake, and under the assumption that the cake was baked?! I call hax.
I couldn't take advantage of any labor day events, because Canada seems to be celebrating it as much as an alien celebrating Saint Patrick's Day in terms of commercial deals.
I have to say - that is one amazing drawing. No lie. At first, I was like, "Oh look, an Asuka-themed notebook! How cool!"
And then I was like, "OH MY GAWD HE DREW THAT, DIDN'T HE?! WOW!"
@ed: thanks man!
@pharoah: hey thanks, and you are right on both accounts.
@raven: hells yeah it was a great deal on 2 great movies. Thanks, I spent a lot of time on drawing that
@hazel: well thats not all that unfortunate you had a longer summer
@HAVOK: yup a lot of people are the same, I dont think Ivy is but pretty much everyone else.
@neil: oh I thought you had it already its just the same except lower case: roman_irishman. Yeah that limited friends thing is kinda lame but I guess you cant have 500 close friends you talk to on a day to day basis. And thanks.
You'd think the ice cream would melt while they were baking the cake lol. I'm glad you enjoyed your bar b que.
That's an awesome deal on the Blu-ray movies, and those are some awesome movies to get.
That's a sweet drawing too. I have no artistic talent whatsoever so I'm doubly impressed.
@sparda: the DC/Marvel guys are timeless thats for damn sure. Thanks, but I dont have to worry, I always get good grades, schools just easy for me.
@belwyrm: it is indeed. Oh no, my mom made the cake then cut it into layers and added the ice cream inside each layer but I still dont know who it stayed up! Thanks, it took a lot of practice and time to get as good as what you saw.
