I have actually yet to have a good purchase experience at EB Games or Gamestop yet... I don't even know why I buy my games there on occasion still.

Sure, it may be convience... But it's not when I have to take what I bought back the next day because it doesn't work, or they gave me the wrong disc.

Seriously, they should really just keep the games in the boxes and have better security instead of do the we'll open every box and put a million stickers on them when we give them to you which totally ruins the box.

So, firstly they gave me the wrong PSP game; however, I did not catch it until a month later when my brother let me use his PSP and I opened it to find the first syphon filter game in it.

Later, they gave me only the bonus discs (3 of the same disc) in my Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition.

Now, they sold me a PS3 Stratocaster Rock Band 2 guitar with a DRUM DONGLE. Since the old guitar dongles can't be used with the new guitars (and I sold that guitar anyway) this guitar is basically useless to me. How did they not realize? There is cleary a giant drum logo on the dongle and absolutely no USB ports on the dongle (It's also a different hue).

The thing that chokes me? Everyone of these times they refuse to help me at all besides giving me a full refund. I get no benefit or any other "we're sorry for never doing anything right" like even futureshop or best buy WOULD do. I basically waste my gas money to go down and buy the stuff (granted, I was there anyway) to only go back and waste more of my gas and I don't even get any reimbursement for that.

Also, on my guitar I put a $5 sticker on it to denote that it was mine to everyone so they don't thrash on my guitar... and then I have to take it back wasting that sticker.

As far as I'm concerned, I should get atleast a $10 convenience reimbursement or they should bloody well open one of their Rock Band 2 PS3 Full Game Bundles and give me the guitar and dongle from that. They should have to take the loss, not me who will now have to spend $15 more at another store because they can't do their job right (+$10 from wasting my money with gas and a sticker).

They don't even have a new or used replacement and refuse to let me wait until a new one comes in stock to give it to me. Evidently, they are the ONLY company with their head so far that they do nothing for their customers because they have such a huge clientel base and absolutely no reason to help their consumers. Heck, even EA does a better job.

Alas, I fired off an email to EA to see if they would just send me a dongle... Hopefully I get a lucky christmas present

I to have had many bad experiences with Gamestop/EBGames. I never get the whole "the customer is always right" thing. They think that because they are one of the largest used and new videogame stores that they will always do well. All I can say is good luck.

Yea, I have too agree. Their service and prices are just terrible (probably worse here in Canada though). But the only reason I shop there is because they have a huge selection of quality games, and sometimes a good game ends up in the bargain bin.

Now that a Gamejunkyz opened up not too far from my place, I doubt I will be going too EB Games very often.
