I recently had a power surge in my house. About an hour after the surge, I noticed my Wii would not turn on. I tried hooking it up in every room in the house and it still wouldn't work. I then tried it on my friend's cables and it finally turned on. The power adapter for the Wii seems to have vulnerability to certain electrical troubleshoots, for example a power surge.

My 2 year plan unfortunately only covers for the system, not its accessories. I've searched every game store and electronics retailer for the power adapter. The only possible choices left are ordering it from Wal-Mart's site, or contacting Nintendo. Has anyone else experienced this power adapter issue?

i havent personally, but where ive work ive heard a lot of power surge stories.
You basically got lucky, i know that sounds bad but its true. During a power surge , if something were to happen to a wii/computer/tv/anything, it would die all together.
Your short a power adapter, but youve still got a wii so be thankful.
If i were you, I'd probably take a look at walmart first, seeing as its quick. And im not sure, but i think you can still get a nintendo made power bar at walmart. If not, just be careful, because if you wii breaks during a power sure and your using a third party power bar, your screwed for warranty.
