I don't think anyone of us will forget 9/11/01, history changed for better or worse that day and the horrific images of the attack will forever be etched in our minds.

We must never forget those who died, why we were attacked, and that we as a nation and as a people are not invincible. Though our bodies may be able to be broken, our spirits are indestructible and as long as we fight for truth, justice, and freedom we will never be overcome.

Those who attacked us are cowards in every sense of the word, they are savages who are mindless enough to be misled to their own deaths by puppet masters who use God as a pretense for war.

The most horrible thing we can do is to forget what we learned on this day 8 years ago-we cannot become complacent, we must be ever vigilant, and we must expect our government to defend us properly. This means fighting our enemies in the way that they will never forget-we must be as vicious and nasty as they are-remember there is a difference between not winning and losing. We cannot worry about offending our enemies, after all they already hate us so much they wish us dead-what happens if we offend them, will they kill us twice?

Many of you know I am displeased with our government, that is very true and the fact that we have not finished this fight is but one of many reasons I am angered. This is not the time to express my disgust with them, this is a time to remember those who perished in a senseless act of war.

I wish that the world could live in peace, as long as this world is run by mortal beings that will never happen. All mortals are flawed, as such our actions will always be flawed-the best that we can hope for is that sense and justice will prevail in this dark and wicked world. We must look at whatever light there is, after all there is plenty of it. The bright spots in this dreary world matter most for it is the shadows which are chased away by the light and not the other way around.

I urge you all to take stock of today, remember it, and remember what was lost and what still could be lost. Cherish what you have, after all there are thousands who have less because of the selfishness and cruelty exhibited by the cowardly pigs who saw fit to attack our nation for no good reason. Life is what you make of it, and that which you hold dear makes it so much better.

God Bless America

It was truly a tragic day for all those who families who lost their loved ones and for entire America.
There were many things I would have wanted to say but I think it's best to silently grieve for those who lost their lives and strive to remove this evil of terrorism from the face of the earth and from the VERY root of the society (and not by wars for settling old grudges).
I just want to add one thing. There are countless countries that suffered such events for years. The world turned a blind eye to them. When it happened in America,it created an uproar. So whatever it might be, I think the only way we can fight them is by staying united.

@rtssam: I'll not forget it, I can remember almost every minute of it.

@lightwarrior179: Sadly, I think that terrorism can never be fully stopped, but we can turn the volume down on it. Terrorism exists in many nations, I watch the news often and seeing the terrorist pigs in Israel sickened me. I must also recall the IRA bombings in the 1980's-1990's-must have been tough then as well.

9-11 was indeed a tragedy that impacted all of North America, and in some ways, the whole world. People think of racism as something one sided, inflicted from white people to every other race but indeed it is something much more widespread and diverse.

We do indeed have to try that much harder to focus on the positives in life, look for the blessings and really be appreciative of the bright spots that do exist, for indeed they do ^__^ You know this already but you are one of mine, and i am grateful you and Mrs Reg are in my life

Ummm it's 8 yrs not 9.My family was freaking out because we had plenty of friends & relatives who were in Manhattan that day & my parents were FRANTIC to see if they were all right. When I was little we lived in Bergen County NJ just across the Hudson River & you could see the towers from our house. And my dad grew up in Hudson County NJ which is directly across from them. It took some ppl we know 2 or 3 days to get home>>> there was no way to get off Manhattan Island! My godmother got across on a Coast Guard boat.My grandparents told us there were TANKS blocking the NJ entrances to the Bayonne Bridge, the eastern extension of the NJ Turnpike & the Holland Tunnel. I rtemember that there were kids driving upp & down thr roads everywhere honking & waving flags. I was 10 so I was old enough to realize what was going on. WE MUST NEVER FORGET. THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO BE IN IRAQ AND IN AFGANISTAN & SHOULD BE IN IRAN & PAKISTAN & SYRIA TOO! WE MUST EXTERMINATE THESE 9TH CENTURY-LOVING B*****DS. BTW the Pakistanis today captured someone in battle who had been released from Gitmo. What is that like to 70th one now? Why don't we just line them all up and machine gun them?
