Howdy!

I recently watched the trailer for James Cameron's (who is an AMAZING director!) new film, "Avatar" the plot looks great, the direction looks amazing, the actors are all good choices, and it is in a NEW form of 3D! This movie has Epic Win written all over it. I showed it to Mrs. Regulator and she now wants to see it, so I guess the two of us will have a date night when it arrives in theatres. I suggest to you all that you look it up, this film looks to be extremely good, so I am now very excited.

Gaming wise I have been heavy into Mass Effect as I await the arrival of Mass Effect 2 which looks to be another great game. I got an achievement for using one of the characters throughout most of the game, I am glad I got it...The character, Garrus, has a great attitude but he tends to: get killed a lot, get in the way, and shoot you in the head-with allies like that who needs enemies? I am quickly learning the joy of my characters with biotic (Mass Effect's version of magic) skills, Liara and Kaidan when fully trained with lift can turn a battle into a turkey shoot. Needless to say, I love that. I am also hard at work at Tenchu Z (level 36/50) and eager to get started back up on Dead Space which I played for 1 hour, but loved the hell out of it.

My wife, mom, and people from our church went to a baseball game last night. The Pittsburgh Pirates actually won, I am still in shock over that. We were in the "all you can eat" seats, which pretty much sums it up. You get unlimited nachos, burgers, hotdogs, salad, icecream, and soda. I eat lightly and didn't feel well so I had two things of nachos, a burger, and some ice cream. We had a nice time, the folks at church are nice, I don't get to see mom as much as I used to, and spending time with Mrs. Regulator is always a plus.

In other good news, I am up to running 3.2 miles a day and I feel great doing it. Mind you I will ride 10 miles on my stationary bike first, run 3.2 miles, walk a bit, then ride the bike again as long as it adds up to 60 or more minutes of solid exercise. I highly reccommend it, you feel great, lose weight, and get healthy.

In conclusion, I got to give it up for the American people, we have finally had enough and are telling our elected representatives that we are in charge (after all, in a democracy the PEOPLE are in charge!) The government is trying to ram down our throats a horrible health plan which will in time cost too much money and sacrifice care. The people in my nation are waking up and telling the government to STAY OUT! After all, our Constitution says nothing about the Government being our "nanny." The US Constitution limits government to the following: National Defense, regulation of trade, negotiation of international treaties, and keeping the states together. Needless to say, the US Government is NOT supposed to give aid unless in dire national emergency, provide funding for pet projects, and well...GETTING INVOLVED IN YOUR LIFE! Much respect to the American people for letting the Government know where their place is. So I leave you all with a quote from one of America's greatest heroes, one Benjamin Franklin:

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

zolloz89: Its about time Americans remember who is in charge, think about it-would you tell your boss what he can and cannot do? I have hit the gaming jackpot, I feel very fortunate.

I haven't seen the movie trailer but after the ramblings of the director at E3 I was turned off by it. . . . entirelly. I did get a chance to watch the Video game trailer which has been in the works for years but alas. . . . I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be horrible lol. Anywho, like I stated before hand Mass Effect DLC coming soon so hold fast for that I also strongly recomend the Mass Effect novels. The 2nd one "Acension" is the pre-quel to Mass Effect 2 so I feel like I'm better informed. As for Mass Effect "Revelation" its the pre-quel to Mass Effect! So you cant go wrong there. Idk its a matter of, "Are you interested in the gameplay? Or truley are interested in the story?"

As for movies I haven't seen anything recentlly except for "Funny People" when I was up with Amanda. . . . kinda a bad movie choice to see on your first "date" (we were with her mom and mom's bf so I dont count that as a date )

Nathan and I want to see GI Joe. . . . .and we want to see District 9 I also want to see "Big Fan" I heard this huge segment about it on NPR and it just made me want to go and watch it.

I was actually a bit underwhelmed by the AVATAR teaser. It didn't really give me a good idea about the story or characters that I was hoping for, more just showed off their amazing CG tech. I'm hoping for the best though, because he really is a great director for the most part.

I recently played through Mass Effect myself. Loved every minute of it. It really develops a strong connection between player and character with the customization and open conversations and stuff.

@skyyfox1: I haven't played Wolfenstein since the ORIGINAL, so it may give you and idea of how long its been.

@rtssam: Every now and again a brainless action film hits the spot.

@Devil_Virgil: If I can get to the novels I will, sadly school is coming up which means I will be stuck behind textbooks which has ruined any enjoyment I had in reading. I think Mrs. Regulator and I will see District 9, we talked a bit about it. As for first date movies...Best for me was Casino Royale (Mrs. Regulator) or 28 Days Later. Worst was You, Me and Dupree which was utter crap.

@raven_squad: I like the story idea, and James Cameron can direct a film. Combine that with a new type of 3D effect and we may have an amazing movie here.

I really don't work out as much as I should. Generally do a good bit of walking each day, but really should up it to running!

WOOOOOOOOOT for Mass Effect... I am on my fourth character, my full biotic, to get singularity and stasis, and then i'm onto a full engineer character... good times! I know i'm gonna be a bit sad when it's all over, cause i've devoted so much of my life to getting these achievements LOL. Hopefully by then ME2 won't be too far off

Glad you had a nice weekend - give my regards to Mrs Reg ^____^

Uhh...don't I remember you being excited about the Marxist being elected? Change you can believe in, eh? But anyway, I've had it up to my neck with politics, I just want to be left alone. Glad to see you got to see the Buckos on a good night. I haven't gone to one major league game this year. My wife and I go watch a nearby minor league team a few times per season. It's cheap, it's fun, parking is free, and they're probably as good as the Pirates . But don't worry, Steeler season in upon us.

ya I only had 3 different characters. . . . Full Bio full tech and full soldier

Sounds like you had a great weekend. James Cameron's long speech at E3 turned me off to the movie. So I'll probably pass upon it or wait until it hits DVD and rent it.

Awesome post. I thought I was the only one here who thinks that way. Doing something on Sept 12?

@Helostwin: My wife and I were going to go to DC for the march, but finances have crushed us. We don't believe in public assistance, so we are eaking out on our own. As for 9/12/09...I plan to have a drink to toast the American spirit of freedom.

I don't believe in public assistance either ( well I have PARENT assistance lol). Maybe there is a Tea Party local to you?
