So, uh, yall hear about that Mega Man 9 rumor actually being true? Yeah, I'm beyond excited about this. You know how long its been since we've got a traditional MM game? The last one came out in 1997. Yup, 10 years. Better late than never, I suppose.
And yes, I'm plugging my other gaming blog here. My first post was about MM9. I may end up doing most of my game blogging over there. I never seem to get many replies to this one and you don't even have to be a registered member there to leave a comment.
I love the video game industry. Really, I do. Playing games, writing about them, and then commenting about said games on message boards has something I've enjoyed for many years. Lately, however, my love for writing about things relating to Spider-Man has overshadowed my interest in gaming related things.
I haven't posted a review in months, I hardly ever post on gaming forums anymore (though I've made plenty of time to post on Spidey message boards) and outside of my DS, nearly gaming in general has taken a back seat to my increasing interest to write about Spider-Man.
What's the deal with Spidey, you ask? Well, he's my favorite super hero and a nearly a month ago, the site editor of Spiderfan.org gave me the chance to write for the site as a freelancer. He was so impressed with the review I submitted that he gave me a five issue mini seires right away. I've been thrilled ever since. I've been pouring a lot of energy into writing about Spidey, so much so that I've nearly forgotten about my love for gaming.
To remedy this, I've decided to put out some reviews this week, because I've played enough of a view games to put together a review. I also miss posting on gaming forums and it feels like I haven't seen some of my old friends on the net in ages. In a nutshell, I'm gonna do whatever I can to get my butt in gear and get back into the swing of things. Look for more reviews from yours truly and you may even see more on the boards more often!
The only two games I've got going on at the moment are Geometry Wars: Galaxies on the DS, and Bleach: The Blade of Fate, also on the DS. One of the main reasons I love both of these games (outside of them being just plain awesome) is that they are they type of game where I can keep getting high scores in.
In Bleach, I'm hooked on the Time Attack mode. I could already cut seconds off my time with Ichigo and Hallow Ichigo using their character card decks, but when I made my own deck from the cards I'd bought, I'd essentially made them even more powerful, allowing for even more time to be saved.
GWG is simple but addictive. Getting golds on every planet wasn't all that difficult at first, but as I've moved on to different solar systems, it has become increasingly difficult. Right now I'm trying to upgrade most of my drones. I've already maxed out my attack and defend drone. Some drones are better than others depending on what planet you're on so the higher in level the drones are, I think the safer you'll be.
