E3 ends, and the yearly sales start (here in Australia, so note the following will be in $Au).. EB Games have their annual sale where you can get some amazing bargains. Here is what i picked up that i've been wanting to get for a while:
Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection
Normally $69.95, got $30 off. Wanted to pick this up to get the nostalgia feeling.. loved playing my Sega Megadrive all those years ago (i still have it, but many of the games i played at friends places and didn't own).
Normally $109.95, i got it for half price. A lot of people have said the game is riddled with bugs and can be frustrating.. so far im enjoying it, only played for a couple hours though. But for getting it half price, im happy to work through bugs and such.
Normally $109.95, i picked it up for half price. I really enjoyed Resistance: Fall of Man and with a lengthy single player campaign, i can't wait to start playing this sequel! (Note: I didn't pickup Killzone 2 because it was only $10 off.. so i'll wait till the price drops).
Normally $99.95, got $30 off. A game that everyone raves about on the PS3 forums here at GS. I enjoyed the demo and was going to buy it at full price a couple weeks ago. Im glad i didn't, cause i saved myself $30 and still got this awesome game!
So now my collection stands at 15 games and will keep me busy for quite some time!! I recommend everyone check out their local EB, (even if your not in Australia, cause if their are sales on) you'll get some amazing deals on games, no matter what system you own.
I watched all the conferences and live shows (and it was more than worth staying up all night for them).. the emblems have arrived, and they looks awesome!
Not only did i get to see some fantastic upcoming games at the E3 conferences and Live show, but i've got these sweet looking emblems.
Sony's conference was AWESOME!
They kicked it off by going straight to the games.. which is exactly what we want!
Uncharted 2 looks like it's going to be a great sequel.
Final Fantasy 13 actually looked good! The short clip they showed in the XBox360 conference made the game look rubbish.
Final Fantasy 14!! That wasn't expected.
God of War 3 is looking fine
MAG.. 200+ player games.
Assassins Creed 2 seems to have changes all the things wrong with the original. Looks like there will be a lot more variety this time around. I can't wait.
They showed a lot more games and had a lot less babbling on compared to the other conferences. Some amazing games. I was disappointed that Kojima and the guys that worked on MGS4 will be working on the PSP only title which is a "true sequel" to the series.. i dont own a PSP, otherwise i wouldn't mind. PSP is also getting its own Resident Evil game.. so many awesome games coming to PS3 and PSP and the conference showed it all very well. They got straight to the point, minimal "filler".
Sony came out on top out of all the conferences, followed by Microsoft (which was great because of Natol.. which wasn't live and a lot of people are talking about it being scripted, which if true, makes the whole thing a farse) and then Nintendo.. who had a rather boring conference, and i found myself on more than one zoning out.
Well its 6:30am.. been one heck of a night.. im so glad i stayed up. The Sony conference was more than worth it! Im so hyped for some of the upcoming games.
Now there is 30 minutes to go till the live show starts.. (yes, that means no sleep for me).. but who can sleep with so much to absorb and see!
