I went to the shops today and JB-HI had some AMAZING deals on! Im planning on going overseas for a few months so i figured id buy two since they were so cheap. I've never seen PS3 games sold here in Australia for so cheap!

Dead Space - paid $39.50 for. I've only played about 30 minutes of it so far cause i had to go to work. I played the demo and it seemed ok.. the first 30 minutes i've played of the full game has impressed me a lot and i can't wait to get back into it.

Mirror's Edge - paid $39.50 for. Again, i played the demo and it seems fun. Picked it up because it was so cheap and is something different to everything else out on the market.

They also have some great other deals.. Killzone 2 was $44 (i was going to pick it up but figured i'll just get it and others that were at the same price later on when i get back rather than spend hundreds on games before i leave.).

If you have a JB-HI near you.. go check it out!

This morning all of us in Sydney woke up to an amazing sight. Either we had somehow been transported to Mars in our sleep, or hell has come to earth.. nope.. it was just a big dust storm. Check out some of these images of it. It really was an amazing sight. 100km/hour winds blew the dust here. Yesterday it hit Canberra, early this morning it hit Sydney and before lunch time it had already hit Brisbane.

If you want to see more, check out this page.

They are forecasting another dust storm this coming Saturday.

I've reached a new level. Level 38 - DJ Boy. woooo!

I finished playing through Star Wars: The Force Unleashed a couple more times (got platinum) and finished Resistance 2, and as my internet reached its point where it resets the limit, i decided to go nuts and download a stack of demo's off PSN. For some reason i've been playing them a heap lately.

Fight Night: Round 4

Wow, I didn't know what to expect with this one as i hadn't played any of the previous games. What a nice surprise. Great game, looking forward to picking up the full game eventually. I really like how it slows down for big hits and counters. It makes them seem like you really did get an awesome hit in. Unique control scheme that works really well.

UFC 2009 Undisputed

Another nice surprise. Fun game, love the damage and blood. Im not a fan of UFC, simply because its not on here. But after playing this game its got me interested.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey

I had BIG hopes for this game, im a huge fan of IL2 Sturmovik on PC. It is a fun game, and probably the best flight sim on Ps3. The problem is that is that it just doesn't feel right. Maybe its just me, but the realism in the original IL2 on PC is amazing. The controls are perfect etc.. where the sequel doesn't feel the same. Trying to look around is a pain as you have to push R3, hold it down and then move it to look. Trying to maneuver to dodge incoming fire or target an enemy aircraft is near impossible while trying to look around. Might not be a big issue, but when your playing in the cockpit view, its very limited in what you can see and you do need to constantly look around to see whats going on. I'll probably still get the game when i see it cheap, the demo was a bit of a disappointment though.

I played a few other demo's, but these are the main ones that i've played several times. Fight Night Round 4 i can't seem to stop playing so out of all the demo's, it would be the first game i'd want to pick up out of them. Although there are still other games im keen to get.

I also got a couple new emblems here at GS for participating in the Greatest Game Hero Competition.
