I'm supposed to be going on an outing to fix some computers. I have no clue how many or what exactly needs to be done. Those are the kind of jobs that I like. Keeps me on my toes.
The operation commences at 10am tomorrow. I don't care it if takes all day, I will have 100 simoleons coming to me. With that, I can definitely get my new case to get B*tchin' Fast 2.0 online. I can also have an extra! Either another 256MB stick of PC133 memory from eBAY since those things are more abundant than flies on horse crap, or Silent Hill 3 for Playstation 2 plus a fine dinner. Decisions, decisions. I think the best way to go would be to get the case with Silent Hill 3 and dinner. I really wanted to get Silent Hill 3 before it became a Greatest Hits title and get that crappy red band across the top, hereby ruining the perfect match it would have made with my non-Greatest Hits Silent Hill 2.
My luck seems to be getting better and better.

I went and talked to the recruiter this afternoon at 3:30pm. He was cool and there was hardly anyone there period. I was a little worried that I made a bad 1st impression since I got there like 6 minutes late. Fortunately HE was later than I was. He apologized and said he was talking to a consultant and couldn't get away. At the same time I told him the truth that I got lost in the parking lot and came in a teeny bit late. We both had a little laugh.
He basically asked me questions that stemmed from my resume. You should have seen me, I was as cool as a frozen cuccumber.
I didn't even flinch! I think I'm in pretty good. The job is, from what he said, along the lines of imaging laptops. It's a weekends-only gig that goes from 4:00pm-midnight but is only for four or five weeks. Ah well, better than nothing, plus I love late shifts. ![]()
Now, I think I'll go back to fantasizing about what I'll be blowing my first paycheck on.
In our basement, we have old-style ceiling tiles stapled to the ceiling. The ones soft enough you can punch through. The computers and my videogames and tv are all in the basement. While I'm typing this, I can hear scampering back and forth in the ceiling. I had a suspicion a couple of days ago, but wasn't really convinced until I heard squeaking noises overhead. It doesn't seem to bother me that much because it's just running around on top of the ceiling tiles. Personally I loathe centipedes more than mouses. In fact, I'd like to meet Mr. Jingles one day. I only pray our first meeting isn't by him jumping down my shirt. ![]()
