Not that there's any snow here. It's cold and sunny all the time, quite nice actually, if you're not the type of person who easily freezes.
This is going to be a short blog, and please forgive me for not checking out your blogs right now. In addition to the ridiculous Christmas errands I've had to run this week (which cost me more money than I generally care to spend and annoyed the hell out of me), my father is in the hospital now. At first, we thought he just had a common cold or something, then he kept complaining about backaches...long story short:
He has a colitis.
His pulse is at 41.
His kidney numbers (sorry, I couldn't find an adequate translation) are really bad.
And now he has to stay in the clinic in case of kidney failure.
How on earth did that happen?
I don't really know what to think right now...honestly, I don't even know if I'm supposed to tell anyone about this, but I really need to do that right now. I've chosen the happiest of happy places for this blog to make up for the fact that this is not my favourite day this year.
I'll finish with the first half of an e-mail that I received a couple of days ago...it's from one of the language teachers at the Department of English. The man's a native speaker, and I'm perfectly aware that I am not, but check this out, you just have to admire the s.tyle here (the content is not that important):
"As I had already told you that c.lass is to be canceled tomorrow, c.lass will still be canceled tomorrow as I just found out that the lecture I was supposed to give (on my Ph.D. before I hand it in on that day) was not going to take place tomorrow. However, I just found this out but will still cancel c.lass tomorrow as it would only cause more confusion to have half of the c.lass show up."
I just loved that. Brilliant s.tyle
And the man's job is to teach me how to write essays!
Anyway, that's pretty much all that's on my mind right now, so I hope you'll enjoy the few days until Christmas and of course the holidays!
Hugs and syntax,
Ramona

About the guy, well, he's a little ill at the moment too so I guess that's part of the reason.
Wow... that was confusing
I have no idea where your prof was going with that.
Anyway, *lots of hugs*. Love you, and I'm praying for your dad.
