...and I realise it's entirely my fault. For a long time now I've simply felt I didn't have the time, let alone the energy, to keep myself posted on everything that's going on here, and it seems so mean to stay in touch with a few people and neglect everyone else. So this is what it's going to be like; I don't think I'll come back full time any day soon, but I'll try to read more blogs and leave a comment here and there.
This week I moved back into my dorm room in Bonn after having spent the last six months in Liverpool. And here's the irony: it's raining here like crazy and sunny in England! Go figure... Being back after such a long time feels particularly strange since the city hasn't changed a bit, but I sure have (living in another country does that to you, I guess...)
There isn't much else going on; uni's not starting again for another month and a half and I'm not exactly busy at the moment. I'm just thrilled to see my friend's daughter again, because she's now 11 months old and must be cute as a button! The last time I saw her was in late August, so I might be in for a shock - wonder if she's driving yet. ![]()
Anyway, I'll be very happy about any comments but completely get it if you don't like me anymore. ![]()
Hugs and raindrops,
Ramona
With my dearest hope that CBS and tv.com will take us as users seriously, I now give you my Top 5 Changes list.
1. Change the background back to a darker colour that makes it more comfortable to read the texts. This white background is just blinding and the grey and light blue fonts do not make reading any easier.
2. Allow me to see more of my friends' recent blog titles, with the number of (new) comments.
3. Let us choose which version of tv.com to get. I do not care for UK TV listings and would like to make the choice myself.
4. Go back to showing the full blog with correct formatting on the profile page. The excerpts that can be seen now do not provide any overview and, frankly, take away the fun in creative blogging, and reading other people's blogs.
5. Finally, I do not appreciate the "favourite show"/"favourite actor" listing on the summary profile page. Showing just one title or name does not reflect a person's preferences, nor does the random choice of show and actor do them justice.
I like tv.com a lot and, after having been away for quite some time, I was hoping to come back to the community that I've come to care about. Unfortunately, I returned to this. Many people have left over the past year anyway, and I do not want to become one of them. The new layout, however, gives me the feeling that this community might take a turn for the worse if more and more people decide not to return.
I would like to thank Glenn for organising the blackout and trying to initiate a dialogue. I can only hope that we will be heard and appreciated.
Ramona
Hi everyone,
since I very much appreciate Glenn's idea to show CBS how we all feel about the new tv.com, I am hereby leaving until Wednesday.
Meaning...
This site has GONE DARK.
See you all in two days!
Hugs, Ramona
