Okay, my DVR went wonky early Friday morning, so I wasn't able to see Royal Pains until today, so here is both Royal Pains and Eureka.
Show: Royal Pains
Episode 11: Nobody's Perfect
Summary: While in New York to learn more about Boris' mysterious disease, Hank discovers the Gardner family is attempting to strip him of his medical license.
Best Quote: Evan: "I'm good. I'm fine. I didn't get my requisite nine hours but I'll survive. So how's Boris' New York pad? I'm picturing, like, a cramped fourth-floor walk up."; Hank: "Yeah, it's a few floors higher than that."; Evan: "That's so funny. In my mind, I'm picturing you in, like, a giant airship being waited on hand and foot and eating, like, a lavish breakfast on fine china."; Hank: You know what Evan? Don't be ridiculous. Anyway, uh, so I've seen Boris."; Evan: "Really? So, how is the old boy? Did he bring his pet shark with him? Oh let me guess. You can't talk about it 'cause of doctor-patient confi-da-da-blah-blah-blah."
Best Evan/Divya moment: My favorite moment with them would have to be near the end when Divya finds that maybe Evan has developed a conscience, and is 'constantly evolving', and she apologizes for thinking Evan was all about the money.
Best dramatic scene: I thought that there were two favorite scenes in this episode for me and they both involve Hank and Boris. The first would have to be when Boris starts to lose his eyesight when he is in Battery Park with his client. The other would have to be when Hank has Boris back at his apartment and is asking for Boris to trust that he knows what he is doing.
Funniest scene: When Divya can't get the last fish hook into the captain and Evan has to do it. The expression on his face was priceless.
Break out Star of the Episode:: In my opinion, it would have to be Evan. He clearly did not want to be the one to stick the fish hook into the captain (seriously, who would want to), but he handled it pretty well (as well as anyone would) and he learned some fundamental lessons in the end.
Special Shout Out: The special shout out goes to Boris. Even though he knows how and with in what time limit he will die, he seems to be handling it very well, well, at least good enough for a very mysterious person.
Show: Eureka
Episode: Shower the People
Summary: Allison's baby shower yield eco-friendly gifts and the discovery of drowned scientists in an area where drowning is impossible.
Best Quote: Allison: "Carter, that water goes everywhere."; Carter: "Yeah, I know. That's why I'm having Dr. Rivers check and maybe she can find out where it's coming from."; Allison: "Well she has the most advanced tracking system on and-";; Carter: "Or yeah, or off the planet, yeah I know."; Allison: "Well we need to figure this out before someone else goes down."; Carter: "Well, I'm trying. [groans]"; Allison: "Is there something wrong?"; Carter: "No I'm- Y-yeah. I'm - I - My back hurts. My ankles are sore. It feels like my organs are up on my lungs. I'm gonna [groans] I don't know how you do it."; Allison: "Well, you just do it. Come on, Henry wants us in there."; Carter: "Let's go for ice cream after."; Allison: "Two scoops."; Carter: "Yup."
Best gizmo/whizbang: The baby monitor had to be my favorite. I was originally going to go with the Diaper Drape, but the question has to be asked. "If the diaper is that great with liquid, how does it handle smells?"
Best Carter/Allison scene: I have always been a die hard Carter/Allison fan, and now that Tess is in Eureka, I am feeling sad that this 'ship may be dying. However, I will always have hope for them. As for my favorite scene, see my favorite quote.
Best dramatic scene. Anything with Henry and Kim 2.0 would fit the bill for best dramatic scene. It hurt for Henry to have to let anything go that reminded him of Kim, but he did in the end. But Kim will always be with him, and he has great friends to turn to.
Break Out Star of the Episode: Fargo. He was awesome as a stand-in medical examiner. That's all I have to say about that.
Special Shout Out: Instead of shouting out to a character, I am going to give this shout out to the actress who portrayed this character. This S.S.O goes to Jamie Ray Newman because I certainly would have been able to do that scene in the tank even with an air tank and being in a transparent water tank.
