Okay, I thought I would blog about the season finale of TNT's new medical drama Hawthorne starring Jada Pinkett Smith.

Episode 10: Hello and Goodbye

Summary: Christina comforts her friend David, whose cancer has returned, and tries to bust through red tape to place David in a new trial. Meanwhile, Kelly struggles to bid farewell to a special patient, and Candy springs shocking news on Ray.

From the beginning of the episode we can still see that Christina is still upset over the death of Michael, but maybe the fact that Michael runs away when she calls his name means that Christina must learn to move on.

David is back at Richmond Trinity. However, not for the reason that you may originally think. He is in the hospital getting stitches after skydiving. Christina senses that Tom is hiding something from her and she finds out that David's cancer has returned (Seriously we knew that was too good to be true). Christina tries to get David in a new clinical trial, but Tom's patient gets bumped out of the program. Tom gets truly upset with Christina, telling her that she doesn't care about anyone if she can only get her way and that shecan annoy Morrissey without any 'coverage' from him. Christina is truly upset and she tries to get Tom's patient back into the program, but she ends up having to make a choice: to bump David to get Tom's patient back or to keep David and ruin her friendship with Tom. Christina makes the decision to bump David out of the program. She feels terrible about making promises that she wasn't able to keep. But Davis assures her that he is going to be fine and that she needs to learn to let him go.

Christina does go to apologize to Tom, and she reveals some things to him that she would probably never tell Camille or Amanda. Like the fact that she and Michael were filing for divorce before he got sick, or the fact that she didn't want him to get better because she loved him while he was sick.

The most shocking thing in this episode would have to be Candy leaving for Afghanistan. She is going as a combat nurse for six months. Candy asks for two things when she's gone: for Ray to stop having scraps with the doctors, and for him to date someone.

I thought that the ending was really sweet. Camille got tired of being the buffer between Christina and Amanda and they finally sat down and had an opportunity to do something together. The ending was like the beginning, but with the entire Hawthorne family there to let Michael go. I loved when Tom came out of the light to support Christina. Now, was that a sign or what?

That's it for my first official TV show blog! Tune in tomorrow for my new Leverage blog. Comments are welcome.
