Alright, I've had it. Halo sucks, understand? Alright maybe it doesn't suck so much as it's nothing special. So you've pushed me, and you've pushed me to the point, where I'm going to critique Halo and Halo 2. I will not buy these games so much as I will just simply borrow them. Nothing in this world will ever force me to buying into the Halo series; I'm sorry, but the game just has to live up to certain expectations for me to buy it.
Halo and Halo 2 will be critiqued against OLDER games, adding much, much more insult. On top of that, I will also pit Halo against newer games like Crysis and BioShock which are actually innovative. Since Halo is an FPS, I see it only fair to pit it against other shooters. I can't come out and say, "Well Final Fantasy has a better story and much better gameplay mechanics." It's pretty damn hard to compare apples and oranges.
I'm currently planning my critique, as in what games I should compare it to and such. I will critique both single player and multiplayer, and I assure you I will rid myself of my bias against Halo, giving it a fair chance. My critique will be taped, edited (fairly, that is. I'm not going to post hours upon hours, it might be an hour at most.) and posted on YouTube as well as GS.
I'm prepared to take more flak than any man has ever taken. Also, I'm debating on whether or not I should wait until Halo 3 is released on PC to shoot down those arguements as well.
Lastly, the final part of my critique will be a video poll, and I will survey Halo fans and haters alike. You'll definitely get to hear my favorite arguement to date:
"But you get to save the world."
Ha! Yes, yes you do... in every game.
Slightly afraid, but sticking it out anyways

PS: I know I'm going to be the most hated person in the gaming community, made up of 80% Halof4gs.
Wish me luck!
