I decided that I would do a weekly blog every Monday.

Sports:

NFL: First of all the Raiders didnt loose, second they didnt play this week. The Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins who combined for 5 wins beat the Packers and Chargers who combined for 26 wins, big turn arounds for those teams. Once again the Washington Redskins were able to defeat a powerhouse on the road. The Bills undefeated streak ended against Kurt Warner who considered retirement after Aquan Boldin got injured because he thought it was his faul, fortunately for the Cardinals he didnt and they are still in first. Also the Titans and the Giants were able to remain undefeated. Here is my week 5 Power Rankings:

5. Pittsburgh Steelers: 4-1 Dominating D with a great QB but the O-Line must improve

4. Dallas Cowboys: 4-1 Most talent in the NFL but have been shaky

3. Washington Redskins: 4-1 A close loss to my #1 team but otherwise very impressive

2. Tennesse Titans: 5-0 In my mind best D with a great two headed monster at RB

1. New York Giants: 4-0 Until they loose they remain #1

Also in the Colts were able to score 21 points in the final 2:10 of the game to beat the Texans 31-27. The Texans would of won if QB Sage Rosenthals didnt try to fly and challenge gravity. Sage lost against gravity and lost the ball to the colts fumbling the ball twice in the final 3 minutes after playing a great game. Head to ball= Head wins.

College: Like my Raiders my San Jose State Spartans did not loose because they were idle. Not to many upsets at least in the top 9 but USF did loose. Oaklahoma looked very impressive as they have this whole season. And USC was able to rebound against Oregon in dominating fashion. Also for the first time in school history Ball St. has been ranked congrats to them. Ok here is my college football power rankings.

5. Penn State Nitany Lions 6-0: Joe Pa nuff said. Great D and mostly dominating

4. Alabama Crimson Tide 6-0: Played some tough teams and dominated, shaky this weak though

3. Missouri Tigers 5-0: Most potent offense in College Football with Heisman Candidate Chase Daniel

2. Oaklahoma Sooners 5-0: Have dominated in every single game and have supreme talent

1. LSU Tigers 4-0: Same scenerio as the Giants defending Champs and yet to loose

Baseball: The most disappointing team of the post season was the sweep of the Cubs by the Dodger who won like 15 fewer games, Cubs swept. No curse the Cubs pitching just wasnt as good as the Dodgers. I was rooting for the Phillies on the National League side and they were able to pull it off in 4 games. My prediction for the Phillies and Dodgers is teh Phils in 6. Just as im righting this sentence the Rays were able to finish the Whitesox in 4. Congrats ot the Rays in their first postseason. The Red Sox and Angels, my two most hated teams (Yankees third) are about to square off and I expect the Red Sox to finish them off at home. Then I see the Red Sox as much as it hates me to say this beat the Rays in 6 with all of that experience.

TV: Good week of TV. Premiere of Chuck, Life, and Numb3rs which were all great. Also a new TV show Valentine premiered. Not really my cup of Tea but I decided to watch because I love Autmn Reeser. It was a decent show with some quirky characters. Prison Break, Gossip Girl, and Fringe all had great episodes but one episode took the cake for me and that was:

Episode of the Week: "In the Beginning" (Supernatural):

sup

This episode gave us so many answers that went unanswered from season one. We also got the revelation of who exactly Mary Winchester was. This episode also was all about Dean who is one of my top two favorite characters on TV. One of my favorite episodes of the whole series. 10/10 for this episode. By the product of the first three episodes this season of Supernatural could be the best season of any show this season.

My life: Not much has been going on in my life lately, just chiling and taking it easy as well as I can. Went to all my c.lasses this past week. Got an -A on my history quiz I was the 10th highest of around 100 students. Score! Schools pretty good, I try to make things as simple as I can so I can just chill and enjoy my life. Today though on my way home on the Train I was sitting down and this old couple got on the next stop and I was think I should give them my seat but then I looked around and there was two empty seats next to people, so I was like ok, nevermind there probably getting off at the next stop and want to stand. Then the girl in front of me(she was a hottie) got up and offered them her seat. I was thinking $h*t, now I feel like a total d**k. I pride myself on being polite and doing the right thing, like I will hold the door for people or if somebody drops something and doesnt nothice I will pick it up and run over and give it to them. Nothing to fret over but I just felt like crap that I didnt give up my seat as I usually would. This probably wouldnt bother most people but its jus the kind of guy I am.

Movie Review:

Burn After Reading: This movie really was hilarious and the moral which I got out of it was that nobody knows whats going on in the government. I dispise Brad Pitt but his movie almost actually made me fan as he was absolutely hilarious, def. his best performance, and a a surprising one at that. George Cloony was also hilarious as his character was basically cheating on his wife with every woman possible. (Not really a spoiler) This movie was made by one scene, possibly the funniest scene of cinema and history, at least top 5. I will only say Cloony in the basement, to not give anything away. There has been an abundance of great comedies this year unlikelast year when I really wasnt a big fan of any of the comedies. Superbad was horrible. This movie gets a tie for 3rd best comedy with In Bruges, and behind Tropic Thunder and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Overall I give this movie a 9/10.

The title is in reference of my Oakland Raiders. Dont worry for all you non sports fans this blog just wont be about sports.

Sports:

Ok another week in football and yet another disappointment. I would like to start out with some good news as my San Jose Spartans were able to pull out a last second victory in Hawaii, in the first WAC conference game, and are now in first place in the WAC with a 3-2 (1-0) record. Also in college we were witness to three top 5 teams going down (USC, Georgia, and Florida) good stuff. Now the new AP rankings have Oaklahoma at #1, Alabama at #2, LSU at #3, Missouri at #4, and Texas at #5. I doubt that any of those teams go undefeated, as Oklahoma plays Texas, and most likely the winner of that will play Missouri in the Big 12 Championship. The way things are looking right now here is who I have in the National Championship game. Oaklahoma vs. Penn State. The winner of the Big 12 maybe Oaklahoma has 1 loss against an undefeated Penn State team. Now we go to the NFL. Lets flashback to last sunday; Raiders have a 16-7 lead after 3QT's against the Bills. A 23-14 lead with 6 minutes left and somehow they manage to blow that lead to loose 24-23 on a last second Rian Lindell field goal capping off 17 pts in the 4th to the Bills. Now to today. A 15-0 Raiders lead at half at home against the Chargers whom they have lost nine straight to. Seems like a great day right? Wrong. They take a 15-3 lead into the 4th only to allow 25 pts and loose 28-18. WTF!!!!! Also after today only one team has 4 wins which is the 4-0 Buffalo Bills.

Life: Not much has been going on in my life lately, just going to school and kicking back. I am starting to look for a job, need some cash to help pay for my living expenses. I went home for the fist time in six weeks, before I started school. I got home on Wednesday and hoped on the ACE train, ended up in Tracy to see my grandparent where my mom picked me up. I spent an uneventful wednesday and thursday at home. Glad to see my parents and my dog. Then friday at 6:30 in the morning caught the ACE train in Stockton home to San Jose. I arrived around 9. I had to go to the bank to deposit some cash and decided to check out a movie, Eagle Eye. Also in school which is going well, I doing pretty well in Statistic with a 92 and 86 from the first two quizes. My last two years of high school I wasnt even able to land a C in a math c.lass I took both junior and senoir year.

Movie Reviews:

Eagle Eye: Yes this movie was farfetched in many ways. It was also very entertaining with good special effects, good action, and an interesting but farfetched story, with some solid acting. Plus it had Michelle Monaghan which gives the movie an extra boost. I give this movie a 8/10 based mostly on good action sequences.

ee

The Incredible Hulk: A giant upgrade up from the unwatchable Hulk from a couple of years ago. Good special effects with a great fight scene with the Hulk at the end. Like the back story with Bruce Banner in Brazil. I liked this movie better than Iron Man but not better than The Dark Knight. 8/10

hulk

Dan In Real Life: Really good story, Dane Cook wasnt as bad as he usually is. I liked Steve Carell in this movie, with his humor being more subtle but still hilarous. Not really a typical romantic comedy. I might not even consider it a romantic comedy. Rather a movie about family. Dan sweeps with an 8/10 rating.

dirl

TV:

Heroes: The return of Heroes, not my favorite show but still a solid show. I wasnt a huge fan of the premiere thought it was entertaining. I am sick of Claire and Hiro already as I have been in the first two seasons. There were some surprising storylines with like the Nikki storyline, and the revelation about Sylar. I believe now that Bennet is the only character left on the show that does not have an ability. My favorite character storylines: Bennet, Peter, and Sylar.

Prison: Break: Good episode, one of my favorites of the season yet. Great suspense. And we got a little more of T-Bag who is in an interesting dilema, looking forward to the rest of the season.

One Tree Hill: Not really anything much exciting happened. Looks like next episode should be the ended of Nanny Carrie. Thankfully.

Gossip Gril: One of my favorite episodes of the whole series. Evil Serena is gonna be great since I am sick of her character. I glad that Dan and Serena are broken up. Also Marcus and Katherine are out of town. Great episodes.

How I Met Your Mother/The Big Bang Theory: Solid openers that were hilarious. Pretty much what I expected.

Chuck: Downloaded it on iTunes. Wont go into detail though. Good episode glad chuck is back.

Life: I forgot how good this show was, Damien Lewis is great. I decided to make Life my new icon.

90210: Eh, this show doesnt look like its going to be very good.

Fringe: This show is awesome, the special effects and storylines of this show are superb. My favorite new show of the season.

Privileged. Way better than the show that precedes it 90210, Joanna Garcia is one of my favorite actresses on TV.

Bones: Worst episode of the season. The I only enjoyed the last 5 minutes of the show especially the scene with Booth, Sweets, and Zack, it was hilarious.

Supernatural: I wasnt a huge fan of this episode, hopefully the Winchester get back to their storylines where they are on the road helping people. I like the Angel and God angle they are bringing into the show with Dean.

Survivor: Looks like a promising season especially how they got rid of two annoying people.

Sports:

Its all about football these days. My San Jose Spartans ended up losing to Stanford by a final score of 23-10 after leading 10-7 at half. Would of been an upset if they could of pulled it off. East Carolina ended up loosing a thriller pretty much ending there suprise undefeated start and BCS chances. BYU stayed strong, Possible BCS bowl game. I was really looking forward to Sunday for My Raiders to face off against the undefeated Buffalo Bills. The Raiders had a 16-7 lead going into the 4th and thats where the collapse began. They gave up a touchdown but then were able to strike themselves going up 23-14 with limited time left, I was feeling good but I told my friend, dont worry the Raiders will definitely blow it. And to popular belief they gave up a TD and then gave the ball back to the Bills where the Bills Rian Lindell connected on a 38 yard field goal as time expired to beat my Raiders 24-23. Then in surprising fashion the Miami Dolphins Destroyed the New England Patriots. The bad thing about that highest scoring fantasy player Ronnie Brown, I had him in two leagues and didnt start him. On a better note the United State finally defeated the Europeans in the Ryder Cup. Also today was the last game of legendary Yankee Stadium, Farewell Yankee Stadium and farewell to the Yankees streak of making the playoffs.

Movie Reviews:

Forgetting Sarah Marshall: I loved this movie, Jason Siegal was hilarious, the whole cast in general was hilarious. Fresh idea, in a land full of overused spoof films that are ridiculously stupid. I will give it a 9/10 it would of got a 10 if Jonah Hill was not in the movie.Tied for favorite comedy of the year with Tropic Thunder.

fsm

Forbidden Kingdom: Dont know why I watched it, I actually enjoyed it tho, nothing special but I always love a Jackie Chan siting. 7/10

fk

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: I have read the books and they are better than the movies. It was entertaining I watched it more for ****rather than substance. 7/10

TV:

Prison Break: I really like where this season is going, we need more T-Bag and Sucre though. Right now it is my favorite show that is currently on TV. Love T-Bag he was hilarious once again. Good suspense, though I liked the previous episode better.

Gossip Girl: Favorite episode of the young season so far. Im glad that Dan and Serena broke up, I am a fan of Dan but not Serena. Chuck/Blair/Lord Marcus love triangle isnt all that interesting to me. My favorite storyline this season so far is Nate and he has become the most interesting character for me, as I was bored with him last season.

One Tree Hill: Sad Episode, this season hasnt been great so far. All I need to say is we need more Dan. Come on Dan is the most interesting character on the show.

Raising The Bar: New Law show on TNT, and I am liking a lot, I like the courtroom scenes and how they exhibit both sides of the Criminal Law System with the Public Defense Dept. and the District Attorney Dept.

90210: This show is alright the characters are likeable, I havent seen a storyline yet that really brings me into the show.

Privileged: To my surprise I actually love this show. Joanna Garcia is great, love her character Megan, love the quirky characters on this show. The storyline is a little different.

Fringe: This show is great, love the mix of science, humor, and crime. Walter and Peter together are comedic genius reminds me of Bones for some reason. I love how they were able to show the graphic content of this episode.

Big Brother: The Best Winner Ever. Dan the Man. Congrats. Go Renegades. One of my favorite seasons.

Bones: What can I say this show delivers week after week, there is never an episode that disappoints me. Probably the only show I can say that for. Loved the moment at the end between Booth and Bones. Sweets and Hodgins were also great in this episode.

Supernatural: The return of one of my favorite shows. Week by week second entertainment wise behind Bones. This episode is great with the rising of Dean and a new good supernatural. Did we see a little foreshadowing. Dean with an Angel and Same with a Demon?

Thats All I got for this blog.
