Woah! Woah :O ! It's hard to find the right words right now. Illusion of Gaia is - simply put - one of the best games I've played in the last few years! Sure, the game isn't too long (especially since the storyline is rather linear compared to other RPGs), neither is it really hard. In fact even the gameplay is rather simple compared to other RPGs. But... Jesus! The story... The story was so touching... You had everything you'd expect from an awesome story! Touching moments, surprising moments, schocking moments, sad moments, sincere moments... God, the story touched me so much! On top of that the ending (and probably the whole game) reminded me a lot of Eureka Seven, my favourite Anime. A clear plus point from my point of view. I really don't know what else to say. This game had so many great moments in it and other games can just learn from that. If I where to make a new "favourite games of all times" list now, this game would defenitly be somewhere at the top (then again I've just completed this game today, so it might still change after I've take some distance from it).

My Top 3 favourite SNES games right now:

1. Terranigma / Tenchi Souzou
2. Secret of Mana / Seiken Densetsu 2
3. Illusion of Gaia / Illusion of Time / Gaia Gensouki

Terranigma at the same time is my favourite game of all time and Secret of Mana my 2nd favourite game. About Illusion of Gaia I don't know if it's my 3rd favourite game. I may put Metroid Prime in that place, I don't know. In fact, as I said, Illusíon of Gaia may stil climb up or fall down a few ranks. About the ranks below that I'm still not set. There are so many great SNES games. However, I think Super Mario World might have a good chance of getting rank 4, simply for the reason of teaching me so much about SNES programming my having such a big hacking fanbase and tools. It lets me experience what it's like to be a game programmer. Then for rank 5 there are really many options. Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, Seiken Densetsu 3 and probably any of the Mega Man Games have good chances of getting that rank.

Guess that's all for now.

Funny you should have both Terranigma and Illusion of Gaia in that list, as they're actually parts 3 and 2 (respectively) of a trilogy (although I don't know if they're actually related). If you haven't played it yet, the third in the set is another SNES game called Soul Blazer - if you liked those two, you'd probably like it, too.

@GabuEx :
Hey there. Yeah, I knew they were part of a trilogy and I've played Soul Blazer before. It was OK, but nowhere near as good as Illusion of Gaia or Terranigma. The gameplay gets a bit repetitive after some time and the story isn't as good as in Illusion of Gaia or Terranigma (then again I've never completed Soul Blazer, so I don't know how it ends). Thanks for the tip, though.
