This film is one of the funniest films I have seen in ages. It had me laughing throughout.

The film is pretty good but not as good as some of the others in the same genre. But Hilary Swank gives a very competent performance.

A brilliant performance by Morgan Freeman who plays a flawed but determined educator trying to save a school from shutting down.

I was also very impressed by the Cinematography. Some of the shots are just magnificent. The Director, too, has done a great job. The handling of the film is very sensitive and unfolds beautifully.

I thought this movie was very fresh and cute. Gerard Butler stole the show as far as I am concerned by Hilary Swank was very good too.

This is THE Batman film. It eclipses all previous Batman films by a large margin and all future Batman films will have this film as a benchmark to touch.

Those that tell you that this is a film about boxing didn't understand the film at all. This isn't a film about boxing but the film is about a boxer. This is a film about a man's undying spirit and his dogged ability to fight his way back from a position where his family is nearly on the streets and they have very little to eat. When I remember this film two scenes oout of the many marvellous scenes stand out for me.. One was the scene where Jim goes to the club and passes his hat around to collect some money so he can pay his electricity bill. You can see that he'd rather do anything but this but his need to have his children back is stronger than his pride. The other one was in the restaraunt before the last fight. Max Baer says something like " Look at him.. hiding behind his wife's skirts." For a moment Jim just stands there and you think there is going to be a fight right there but then he just smiles and says. "Yeah, ain't she something?"

You can't help but fall in love with the character at this point.

This ws yet another great film by Hanks and Zemeckis. When you consider the fact that a massive part of the film has just Hanks on an island with a beachball and no other co-stars and almost an hour of no dialogue and the fact that there isn't a single moment where you get bored you realize the talent of both the actor and the director.

Some of the scenes in the film are just marvellous. One of them is the last scene with Helen Hunt. You can sense that they both wish that they could have waited a bit longer and realize with a heavy heart that its too late.

The other hard hitting scene is at the airport where he sees Helen Hunt crying and getting into the car without meeting him. The look on Tom Hanks face says everything. The tremendous battle he had waged against the elements and there was no heroes welcome. The one he had been holding on to and wanting to get back to was no longer his.. she had moved on.

This is one of my all time favorite films.

This was not one of Pixar's best films but it was entertaining nonetheless. The lead characters of McQueen and Doc were well done and their interactions were fun to watch. I love that part where Doc yells down to McQueen something along the lines...

This film is one I can watch again and again and it still makes me chuckle. It has Jim Carrey at his best delivering the classic goofy lines and making the weird faces he's best known for. Morgan Freeman was terrific as God. I love the interactions between him and Carrey. Another thing I liked about the film was that though it was an out and out comedy it still had its lessons to be learnt and the romantic undertones were very well done.

I still maintain that this film had Mel Gibson give the best performance of his life. He got the scottish accent just right and his intensity is great to see throughout the film.

He also did a great job directing this film. He certainly deserved the Oscars he won for it.

There are many films made about Freedom struggles... all of them have their heroes and evoke sympathy from you. But very few of them wll match up to this film. I still remember the second last scene from the film where the crowd themselves are asking for mercy for him and the overseer asks him if he wishes to say anything. The cry of 'Freedom' he utters made me shiver down to my bones.

This film has everything - great actors, great music, great direction, great visuals and great lines. It is one of the all time great movies.

Russel Crowe gives the best performance of his career yet in this film. He plays John Nash... a schizophrenic professor who has everything going right for him before he is diagnosed with the mental disorder.

The film after that is about his refusal to accept that everything he sees around him doesn't exist, his gradual realization of the horrific fact that it is all false and his epic battle to gain control of his mind and go on to live upto all of his potential.

I felt that the story was heroic and the direction and acting was fabulous. This film deserves all of the praise it gets. It makes a person believe that there is always hope. That the human mind is a wonderful and powerful tool when motivated.

This film is great fun to watch. It may not be the best made film.. but its sheer entertainment.

I love how they have managed to keep such a good balance with the comedy and the drama. It never felt like the focus shifted from the potentially fatal asteroid hurtling towards them but at the same time the few smart mouthed comments and goofiness made it all the more fun.

Bruce Willis is at his best in the film and he suits his role to the T.

Definately a film you should watch atleast once.

This movie was hilarious in parts. I think Robert De Niro made this film as great as it was. You can't help but gufaww helplessly when the tough Mafioso starts bawling to Billy Crystal at the most opportune times about his father. One of the times is during a major gun fight and the look on Billy Crystal's face is priceless. By the end of the film I'm sure Billy Crystal's character thinks HE needs a psychiatrist.

I also love how De Niro reacts aggressively, at times even pulling out his gun, when Billy Crystal tries to probe him about uncomfortable subjects like his feelings for his mother.

Overall its not a great film but definately one that you do't mind seeing atleast once.

I have always thought that comparing this to the original is a mistake. Both were equally good in terms of quality, had the same leading lady, the same monster and two equally capable directors at the helm. But the similarities end there.

Alien was a horror/sci fi film while IMHO Aliens is more an action/adventure film. The chill factor is missing from the film. In the first film her crew is killed off and then its her all alone against a fearsome beast thats hunting her. In this film its more a group of marines out to exterminate the enemy.

Never through any point of the film did you feel that same fear as you did in the previous movie.

James Cameron is at his best in this film. The plot is fast moving and there is enough testestorone to satisfy any action fan. Bullets and explosions galore.

The actors all do a great job, especially Sigourney Weaver and the little girl. The two's scenes together are very touching and well done.

The best sequence in the film is when she goes after Newt armed to the teeth and blows everything in her way to kingdom come in the process. The timely arrival of Bishop and the helicopter is a fabulous scene.

I still remember the crew being picked off one by one and then Sigourney Weaver is the only one left and you can't help but think she's a goner. Stuck with the ultimate killing machine deep in space and alone to boot.. doesn't get any more scary than that. The final scene where she blows him out of the airlock will forever be one of the memories of the film that will stay with me forever. The whole scene was chilling and tense.

When I heard that they were making a new Superman movie I was greatly anxious... when I heard that they cast relatively unknown Brandon Routh to fill Christopher Reev's boots I was even more troubled.

I was very reluctant to go see the film but when I went to see it I was entranced from the first roll of the credits which were done in the style of the first Superman movie. It brought back great memories.

To my surprise Routh did an admirable job as Superman. The special effects were magnificent and the flying scenes were an aerial ballet.

Kevin Spacey did a great job as a darker, more vengeful Lex Luthor. He was a fitting nemesis for Superman. Kate Bosworth was okay. There was nothing too special about her.

The reworked theme by John Williams and the music of the film was great to listen to and added to the experience. Overall I thought the film was far better than I had ever expected. I can't wait for the sequel.

This is the first Batman film that did justice to the Dark Knight. In all the previous versions the portrayl of Batman and the villains was like a caricature. Batman is more than flashy gizmos and a cool looking Batmobile. He is about striking fear into the hearts of the criminals. His character is one of great intensity and he has worked very hard to make himself what he is.

Christian Bale was great in the title role and he even portrayed Bruce Wayne very well. Liam Neeson was brilliant as always and Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine chipped in wih solid performances.

I also have to doff my hat to Christopher Nolan. He has done a fine job of crafting a great Batman film and reviving a dying film franchise.

Schindler's List was one of Steven Spielberg's very best made at the peak of his creative powers. It is a tremendous film which tells the story of one of the darkest phases in World War 2.

While making the film Spielberg chose to walk a very fine lne. He did not portray gore that most films on the subject do but yet he wanted to show all of the Nazis atrocitities. He was able to pull this off magnificently and that made the film so great.

Some of the gimmicks he pulled, like making the film in Black and White were sheer genius and it only added to the film. Other scenes like the girl in the red dress walking amidst a sea of colourless people will always stay in viewers minds.

Everybody, from the director, actors to the techicians gave it their all and it shows. Liam Neeson was fabulous as Oscar Schindler and Ben Kingsley was every bit as good. Ralph Fiennes was absolutely chilling as the Nazi officer.

Jack Nicholson is one of the best actors in Hollywood. He is larger than life on and off screen. Any character, once played by him is very difficult to reportray by any other actor. He is truly one of a kind.

What I love about him is his ability to play any kind of role. He has acted in Comedies, thrillers, spoofs, gritty dramas, action/adventure flicks, you name it and he's done it.. and he's done it in style.

Who can ever forget such brilliant films like - The Shining, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, As Good as it Gets and A Few Good Men. nd who could have ever played the characters he played in those films better than him? - The answer to both questionsis a resounding NOBODY. The villains he has played have always been chilling and powerful characters.. made so by his portrayal. Whether it be his larger than life Joker in Batman.. or his proud and powerful Col. Jessop in A Few Good Men.

Jack is a living legend.
