Well I "finally" finished Via Domus, after having it for less than 24 hours. Played for maybe 8 hours all together. So yeah, it's pretty short, but not really that bad of a game. I think the problem they had was trying to fit the first two seasons into one game. Everything kind of flew by and made little sense, and it would have been much better if they had just made it a much longer game and stretched everything out so that it would at least appeal to people who haven't seen the show. As someone who has seen every episode, I knew what was going on, but I can't imagine playing the game without seeing the show, it would just not make any sense at all.

There are also a lot of characters and plot elements missing...Boone and Shannon are nowhere to be seen. Michael is seen twice and Walt is never seen. Claire is only seen at the start of the game. Jin and Sun play very small roles. Sawyer is pretty much just a person to buy stuff from. The entire tail section is missing. When Sawyer, Michael, Jin, and Walt go off on the raft, it is talked about once and then never again. Then when Walt is kidnapped you never hear about it after Sawyer, Michael, and Jin come back. There are a huge number of other parts of the story that have been stripped out of the game.

You kind of take Michael's place with betraying Jack and Kate (Sawyer and Hurley aren't there) except it's completely different. You get on a boat and leave, then it ends with a ending that you would expect in Lost.

I would say even if you're a huge Lost fan, rent it, unless you only like buying games like myself. I would give it a 6/10.

Guess that's my review, i'll change it around and make it an actual review on the site.

I've been thinking about picking it up. I'm a huge Lost fan but I didn't expect much out of this game. I might buy it used and return it when I beat it.

How can someone know that a game called "Via Domus" is a Lost game?

@lancelot: Well, it's called Lost: Via Domus, says LOST in huge letter on the cover of the game, and features the characters on the box as well.

Ah, forgot to add that you can get a gun but you only HAVE to use it three times (two of which are to shoot dynamite).

@Honenheim: No, everything in the game has been seen in the series except for a few locations that you get to go to.

In that case, everything makes sense.

I really wished that people would finally stop buying half-assed games based on a popular movie or tv series. Because as long as people keep buying those games, the level of quality in them will never change.
