New blog time! Recently a package of mine came in from UPS. This package was my 32" Vizio HDTV! Now I can enjoy all my video games with high-definition and a big screen. This is a huge upgrade from my 19" SDTV..

I was one of those who argued "what's the point of getting an HDTV? I can see my SDTV just fine" which I still think is just fine. But, if you have the opportunity get the upgrade, treat yourself.

Apart from the HDTV, it's been a busy past couple of days. I had to go to the Justice Court Tuesday, where they took up my driving license until Monday and gave me a card with an address where I could take the online driving course which still cost me $40. So until Monday my Mother will be driving me to work today and Sunday, with my Dad driving me there Saturday. It's a pain, really.

After all this is a gaming webstie so here's what I've been recently dabbling in.

Resident Evil 5

I didn't initially think I'd get into RE5 so much. I still think it ruined the story of Resident Evil, which slowly began with RE4. RE5 is really too actiony to be considered a Resident Evil game. Even though.. I'm really enjoying the multi-player aspects of the game, as well as just replaying chapters for more treasure to upgrade my weapons and grade to unlock the infinite ammo for weapons.

Dead Space

Dead Space is what my main gaming focus has been on as of late. Being I fan of survival horror I know I'd give it a try. I love almost everything about Dead Space. The stunning visuals, creepy atmosphere, enemies, weapons, upgrading system are just some of the great thing about it. One of my big complaints though is that the story could of been more consistent. Many times I forgot why I kept proceeding and why I was there. I might of just been too in to laser blasting limbs off of screaming mutants, that would be my bad.

Eternal Sonata

Beautiful game. It reminds me a lot of the Tales games with it's similar art style and colorful set pieces. I'm only a couple of hours in to the game, but so far it's been very enjoyable with a nice difficulty where it's not too easy.

Well, that's all I really have to say. I haven't been playing too much as of late. I've been working 7 days straight and I usually game on my days off which were the past two days.

I hope everyone's well, I'll try to keep in touch more in the future.

Congrats on the new HD, Tommy!

Dead Space sounds like a cool game, I may have to check it out.

I like to freeze the aliens as they leap at you. Then you've just got a butt ugly monster floating at you. Takes away the scary and made me giggle every time.

Welcome to HD gaming! And I agree with you on RE5, its cool and all but its just too much of a departure from the rest of the series, i think RE5 should take notes from dead space since it was great and has what every survival horror game should have.

@weltall1028 - Thanks! Dead Space is for sure one of my favorite survival horror games to date!

@ms_hijikata - I never got too scared while playing Dead Space, but using statis on those things is hella fun.

@Kyoku-Ryu1986 - Thanks for the welcome Dimitris! @N8A - Much thanks. The class was 3 hours of boredom though.

@Gohansephiroth - I agree with that. RE5 was fun and all but between RE5 and Dead Space I'd have to say I prefer Dead Space even though I'm big on RE.

@SavoyPrime - Well, I'm a cheap person, so I take my time.

@Syrinx61 - Hey Rachael... shut up! My 4th consisted of working 8 hours. You?

The beginning was the only part that made me want to pee myself. Otherwise it's just very very tense. Scary isn't the word I would use. But come on, didn't it make you giggle like a school girl when the monsters just kinda floated past you? It's just so silly.

Shut up? Wow. Pffft. I gigged on the 4th, while watching the yachts go out to watch the fireworks...one of them was 150 footer with a helicopter on it. Insane and stupid money, with people to match...

Glad you got the HDTV. I was the same way until I got mine, couldn't believe how much better everything looked! I agree with you on RE5. It's still a lot of fun, especially the coop, but it just doesn't have the scares of the other RE's. Dead Space was my surprise hit of 2008. I didn't have big expectations but it turned out to be a fantastic game. I give ES credit for being the first anime style RPG that I really enjoyed, which led to me getting ToV which I enjoyed even more.
