Hello everyone! It's been a hell of a long time since I've posted a new blog. I really couldn't decide what to post a blog about until I beat the game inFamous.
inFamous is an open-world sandbox action-adventure game exclusively for the Playstation 3. In inFamous you play Cole an ordinary bike messenger that unknowingly opens a package that causes a massive explosion in Empire City. You learn this blast was from a thing called a ray sphere and it has given you the ability to control electricity.

Since the blast Empire City has been put in to a quarantine and the inhabitants have been getting odd sicknesses as well as powerful gangs rising and taking control over the city. After Cole get used to having the powers he decides he's the only one that can do anything about what's going on in Empire City. This is where the karma system plays to inFamous.
The player has the option to play the good side or the bad side. The karma shifts based on how you act to main missions where there's an important karma moment, ow you act to random pedestrians needing your assistance, and if you decide to cause carnage in the streets or just heal downed people and restrain live enemies.
The good or bad karma mainly plays in to your powers as well as some key story elements. If you're playing it the hero way you'll have bright blue electricity and you'll have a clean and heroic look to you. The powers for the hero is more based upon precision and minimizing civilian casualties as well as gaining energy back from attacking. This doesn't mean the powers are weaker or not as good a the evil counterparts.
With evil karma you lightning is a bright red and you appearance goes from clean to dark and grimy. The evil powers focus more on causes massive damage without any regard for the innocent.

Other than Cole there are a few others in Empire City that have special abilities. These guys play the super villains of inFamous. I can't go much in to this without spoiling it for others, so I'll just say that these guys make great boss fights and are some pretty memorable characters.
inFamous definitely has the potential to become it's own world and introduce many other possible super heroes and villains. I would love to see this grow in to a great series with new leads fighting along side Cole, or against.
I completed this game yesterday after playing it non-stop for about 5 hours. I didn't even realize I was playing that long without a break. I loved every moment of inFamous. In a lot of ways this game reminded me of Crackdown, which isn't a bad thing. With it being an open world game you can just do the main missions to complete the game, or roam the city collecting the 350 blast shards, 32 dead drops and do all the other side missions to gain additional XP to upgrade your powers.
inFamous is so far my favorite Playstation 3 exclusive and one of my favorite games in my collection.

And i like the sound of the word "exclusive"
@Kyoku-Ryu1986 - I saw you playing the inFamous demo.. a step in the right direction, but get the real thing!
@N8A - Trust me Nate. It is. I'll excuse you since you don't have a Playstation 3.
@Kyoku-Ryu1986 - Really? XD Yeah.. I have been buying a lot of new games. You can also add Valkyria Chronicles to that list soon.
