Ok I have every Super Smash Brothers game there is. I'm a big fan of the game and so are most of my friends. If I do go through with it...it will probably be the only MAIN game I play on the Wii. I might get some more games for it but I wouldn't play them that much (I know this because that is exactly what happened with my Gamecube). Now I have the money for the Wii and the game at the moment. So knowing this, if any of you were a Super Smash Brothers fan would you get the Wii just for the game?

if you really like the game series that much then yes. i basically got my Gamecube just because it has a Final Fantasy game that's not available in the other consoles.

I would go ahead and get it, Im just getting the Wii for the Pokemon Battle Revolution so holding out for one game also makes sense. It depends on how you feel mainly about finding a Wii in the future and if you are in an area that is abundant in them.

I was thinking about doing that but I don't have the money for to that right now. I would get the game if I were you.

aww.
i think its a waste, just gettinng a system for one game. thats like $250 down the drain, when you get it, and completely beat it, it'll just be like a paperweight. its gonna be a good game, but to me it just seems like throwing money down the drain.
but i mean, you seem to be a big fan, so its not totally a waste.
this is just my opinion of course.
i love the game too, but if i got a Wii, i would get some of the mario games, or Metroid Prime.
but whatever.

I would wait. No console is worth of purchasing for 1 game. You won't play new Zelda? 2 games is more than enough to buy a Wii

If I were you I would buy the wii just for smash, if you are a big fan then do it, besides smash it's not the only great game for the wii, who knows maybe some day they'll have a super smash bros brawl 2 and you'll regret not buying the first one.

I'm still debating whether to get it or not. If I do get it I want play much of it at first because Halo 3 is coming out around Sept. 25.

I'm probably not getting it. I have a xbox 360 I'm swamped with GoW and Halo 3. But SSMB will be good I had a gamecube and if you've never played a zelda game..that defined me in middle school made me a very happy guy lol. I can't say that for twilight princess tho. I played a bit of it on Gcube and it looked fun but Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask = omg there is nothing else.
Btw I see you have PSU. I just beat the story mode for that. It was like watching an anime lawls. I had online account for it but then i cancelled but I might start it up again after finals.

The only game Nintendo made that I was a big fan of was Super Smash Brothers...but I'm still not sure whether to get it or not. I'm gonna have to think on it.

Well, im going to and its not like i have lots of money u know.. Right now im going to get the 360, for my likes it has the better titles, but im planning to get the Wii too.. it has some titles that i like, like Fire Emblem, the new Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers, Mario Galaxy, etc.. and too im planning to get a Ps3 when it gets cheaper.. So i say u should.

Yes, SSBB is the game that all the Nintendo fans are gonna talk for the hole next year, so if you really like SSBM and WANT MORE then go for it, besides the Wii have more, MArio Kart, RE4 and RE:UC, MP3 and Super MArio Galaxy, and other games... so my answer is yes, unless you wanna play MGS4 for PS3 or GoW for 360, in that case...well is up to you.

Yes. I got Meele Five years ago and I still play it once in a while, and brawl has online play so you never have to worry about waiting for the multiplayer.
