Well holy cow, it's been a loooong time since I was here last. Seeing that my last blog post was back when I was going to GDC (which was amazing I might add) I figured I would make a quick post and let the 10 people I know on this site know whats going on.
A lot has happened in the past nine months. Got myself a beautiful girlfriend, still playing WoW like a fiend, almost done with school, and no job in sight. Almost forgot, still a Warhammer 40k junkie ![]()
In my last stretch of school. I have one last class left, capstone. In this class there are 8 students and we make a game or mod to the best of our abilities. The main idea is to be exposed to the pressures and challenges of the life cycle of development for a game...in 10 weeks. This is my second capstone class so I'm no stranger to process and I feel that the group I'm in is very enthusiastic and has a good shot at making something great.
I have already accomplished a number of things for the project I never anticipated I would. I have already implemented source control using subversion and Tortoise. I have created a forum, wiki, and even a blog for the project. Well, truth be told, the blog is more for me personally than for the benefit of the project. While I will be putting project updates in the blog, I will also use it to spread my nonsensee and love of Warhammer 40k to as many denizens of the Internet as I can wrangle in. When I get ahold of Dreamweaver I am actually going to try and get a legit website together. Right now it is broken into:
jasonmasters.net/blog
jasonmasters.net/forum
wiki.jasonmasters.net
So to those of you who have read (and maybe found some entertainment in) my GS blog, I deeply appreciate it. I have been told several times in my life that I should write and this an enjoyable thing to do. Not saying I am going to go "pro" or anything, just somewhere to channel some energy. I might even post here when I post/update my blog. ![]()
Farewell, fellow Gamespotters.
Jason Masters: Signing off....
