A word of advice. If you plan on seeing this movie, do it in a cinema with a HUGE screen. Like IMAX. In order to fully appreciate Devestator, a small cinema just wont do it.
So here we have the sequel to the insanely popular Transformers franchise. In Revenge of The Fallen, there are more Transformers, more explosions, more slow-mo, more product placement, more clevage. Your typical Michael Bay movie. It was probably a bit too long, sitting at 2 and a half hours, but it would probably be closer to 2 hours without the slow-mo. More Transformers isn't necessarily a good thing, especially when there are two silver Transformers fighting, and you can't tell who's winning the fight. Which happens a lot! One thing that surprised me was that Megan Fox didn't annoy me as much as she did in the first movie. In the first movie, I just wanted to slam her head into a brick wall. However, in this one, besides sprawling all over a motorbike (to which my Supervisor described as 'Michael Bay's wet dream' ) she was more of a background character. Oh, and Isabel Lucas' role was just ridiculous. One of the few plot points I wouldn't have included. Another being Sam's mum high on hash brownies...
Overall, while it is on par with the first, I still think the first was better. There was something about the first that gave it a certain charm. But the special effects were fantastic!
