Good choices you made on the brackets.

I hope Link wins! My bracket came down to Snake and Master Chief. They are not my favourites, but I think that's who it will come down to.

I ended up with Masterchief and Snake, with Snake winning. Given how I was making my picks I guess its natural - gamer favorites win over regulars (no matter how cool), with fanboy favorites winning over gamer favorites. I went with Snake because the sheer number of PS2 owners out there, and bcause I think there'll likely be some sort of "omg Halo is overrated" drive to get someone other than Masterchief to win.

So you guys came up with the same outcome. I believe Masterchef will lose, but Link will win, because there are also people that feel MGS4 is overrated.

It's kind of like Masterchef is John McCain and Solid Snake is Hillary Clinton, they're both polarizing figures. There is greater consensus that Link is the best character. Whenever you think of a "hero" in a videogame, it has to be Mario or Link. Mario is the "save-the-princess-who-always-somehow-gets-lost-guy" but Link is the legend.

It's weird, if voting for favorite character, Snake or Chief could win, but Link is a no-brainer.

mine looked something like that. the only thing is that mine ended up between cloud and link. Link being the winner.

I ended up with Mario v Snake, Mario winning.

If people had any sense in their brain they would vote Samus over Master Chief.. she's been in WAY more good games. Anyways.. I got Mario vs Link with Link winning. Although an annual Cloud vs Link faceoff would not be a surprise going based offf the GameFAQ brackets over the last several years.

I ended up with Drake (can't help it, I'm a big fan) against Snake with Snake being the winner.

Yeah if you count the NES, SNES and all of those handheld games. I'll be voting for Samus over Master Chief just because I'm a Nintendo person. I think Chief was inspired by Samus too, so Samus was in a way responsible for Master Chief. Maybe not the purpose of the game, but the type of character he is. Remember Samus has Chozo blood right? And Chief is half-cyborg? Very original.

I have Snake winning over the Chief in the final. I just think there are too many fanboys of the two franchises for them not to make it all the way to the big show. Plus Snake IMO, is the best video game hero out there.
