"When you're dreaming with a broken heart
The waking up is the hardest part
You roll outta bed and down on your knees
And for the moment you can hardly breathe
Wondering was she really here?
Is she standing in my room?
No she's not, 'cause she's gone, gone, gone, gone, gone.... "-

The blog title sounds harsh doesn't it? Well I was just posting what everyone thought of this film when it was announced. Although I said to myself "Well I'm not seeing this" when it was announced, I found myself with a weekend with nothing to do and already seen Zombieland I was thinking "Aw hell I might as well make His kid's a little richer". On March 5, 2009 during a press conference Michael Jackson announced that he would perform 50 concerts as his "curtain call" on July of this year. So for the while Michael was rehearsing for his comeback and filming for himself, but on June 25 2009 Michael Joesph Jackson "The King Of Pop" passed away...........and all media hell broke loose. We were all shocked that one of the most loved (and hated) musician had died. So what did AEG Live the company behind the would-have-been concert do? Well they quickly made a movie about the rehearsals knowing they'll make big bucks that's what . Many people protested the film and such but now that it's here let's see if this was a quick cash attempt or fitting tribute goodbye for the man once known as the king of pop:

The film starts with a credit that explaining the concert and such and opening with "For the fans". We start off with the interviews of MJ's back-up dancers for this would-have-been concert. You could instantly see the impact he had on these young dancers who literally grew up listening to him and how it meant the whole just dance with Michael. We then see the footage of Michael announcing the concerts.............then we see him perform. The film does a good job of showing MJ dancing his butt off while wisely showing the whole behind the scenes part. They did feel to drag for instantly we go back to out Moonwalker. The concert screen video they film for songs like thriller and smooth criminal are pretty well done but Thriller is kind of ridiculous to look at since the footage was meant to be in 3D. As for the performers they were almost the top of the line, remember this was the rehearsal not the actual concert. As for MJ himself, he still danced like it was too easy and like he was young. He had so much energy and so did not look like 50, although at times he does not sing a verse or two since he wants to save his voice for the concert MJ still had the beautiful voice we knew he had especially when he performs Human Nature. At times (I can't believe I'm gonna say it) MJ acts like a bit of a....................um how can I say this?......................jerk?*Takes Cover*. Yes I said it, this is during practice where he wants more out of the keyboard players and guitarist and dancers and always says "That's why we rehearse people, with love , l-o-v-e". Honestly if i was any of them I would have been annoyed as hell. But of course he was well known as being a perfectionist so I can understand this behavior. But we also see MJ act in his natural environment, something he was raised on since he was young and you could see how close he was to everyone in the concert. They're almost like a family giving a bitter-sweet feeling to the movie, in fact the whole movie was bitter-sweet whenever a conversation about "Oh I can't wait to perform for the concert" since we know that never got to happen. So did the film properly give tribute to Jackson? Of course it did! They were able this off with a few problems here and there(Like quality of some of the footages). Also it feels weird that they did this since MJ did not intend this to be released to the public . But overall it was great film and it was very enjoyable. Hardcore MJ fans will enjoy this while average joe's might dislike it just because of the whole media frenzy of MJ when he passed away and they probably don't think about MJ. I give it an 8/10.

So which game am I referring to? Oh come on, you seen my sig and my user icon. What else can it be? Left 4 Dead 2?. Nope It's:

That's right my friends. The beatles rock band. Just about yesterday they revealed 10 new songs out of the 45 tracks that will appear on the game (which at first I had an issue with the amount but Harmonix calmed me down when I heard about downloadable content and Abbey Road being the first one after release ). Here's the track list so far:

  • I Saw Her Standing There
  • Twist And Shout
  • Do You Want To Know A Secret
  • I Want to Hold Your Hand
  • Can't Buy Me Love
  • I Wanna Be Your Man
  • I Feel Fine
  • Eight Days A Week
  • Day Tripper
  • Paperback Writer
  • Taxman
  • And Your Bird Can Sing
  • Yellow Submarine
  • Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
  • With a Little Help from My Friends
  • Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows
  • I Am The Walrus
  • Back In The U.S.S.R.
  • Octopus's Garden
  • Birthday
  • Revolution
  • Here Comes The Sun
  • Dig A Pony
  • Get Back
  • I've Got A Feeling

Well most of the predictions I had in my blog about the beatles rock band were mostly accurate. Well right now I'm Hyped and the only way to hype me up some more is putting more predictions on the setlist. So here's my tracklist wishlist:

Boys

Rollover Beethoven

It Won't Be Long

All My Loving

Drive My Car

Run For Your Life

One after 909

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Happiness is a Warm Gun

Ticket To Ride

Fixing A Hole

Helter Skelter

That's all I could think of right now. But I loved how most of my predictions were correct. Hopefully I'm right with this one.
