How scary is Dead Space?

Just out of curiosity, how scary is Dead Space. I'm not very good with horror games, so I wanted to get a vague idea.

I was playing the demo (on Xbox 360) and I didn't find it that scary. And I'm a SUCKER when it comes to scary stuff. I am Legend scared me for at least three nights strait. Dead Space seems to have more of an atmosphere than jumping scares. Try the demo.

I played games like that everyday.. Dead space aint scary.. just sometimes surprises u... I've seen scarier stuff in my neighbors' toilet

its pretty good the first time,but the great story makes you want to play it again.Cause to be honest,I really didnt get it.lol playing on hard mode now.
