I have to say it was something else. It was a great concert. Yes, the music was hard, but it was really worth it. We were not really together at times, but it was mostly consistent. For me, I was jittery at first. As it progressed, I got more comfortable, and by the Gershwin, I was back to normal. The Copland the band people played was cool. It starts with "BANG BANG", and it's so cool. The Gluck felt fast. It was always fast, but it wasn't this fast. Same goes for the third movement of the Sibelius. The fourth movement totally rocked. I was playing my heart out, especially near the end. That part reminded me SO much of Pirates. I either think of it as either the second with the last scene (the Kraken taking over the Black Pearl) or the scene where Davy Jones was finally defeated in the third. We got some mad applause for that one. The Ginastera was still not up to my expectations, mainly because we didn't spend so much time on it as the other songs. It sounded pretty good for what we worked on. We had intermission, and we returned for the other half. The Beethoven was great, the Gershwin was good also (the soloist didn't seem the be that nice; she keeps on looking at me like I'm not good enough for the group). On "God Bless America," we had the human curtain where the choir stood in front of us and sang as we played along with them. Some of the people were out of tune, and it didn't sound that great. But as a whole, it was pretty good.

I'm glad I was able to come home this weekend. My mom came to see me and take me home. Will also came, because he was interested and wanted to come. He was there for the first half, but he left during intermission because of the cosplay club sleepover (I would have gone to it, but I didn't have anything ready). After I changed and got my stuff together after the concert, we went to Sonic to celebrate. What a day.
