I bought the Trilogy back when it was released day one and now feel I can express my likes and dislikes about each game. this is coming from someone who played Metroid Prime 3 first.
Metroid Prime
+decent Design
-Encredibly dated (Graphically and gameplay. Nothing really wowed me with this game)
-Felt annoyed with the exploration. The map didn't connect very well

Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
+Absolutely brilliant level design
+I'm pretty sure my jaw has dropped many times during this game
+Atmosphere is nailed perfectly
+It's a pure joy to explore light and dark aether! Everything is connected just right
+Graphics are insane!!! This is from 2004!?!
+The Puzzles are excellent
+The break up of the world gives off a very Zeldaesque flow
+Quite possibly the best adventure game I have ever played!!! One of the most polished and well made Video games I have ever played

+Encredibly stream lined design so that it's a breaze to play through
+Most action packed of the bunch and most fun to beat multiple times
+Nice Epic Feel
-Streamlined design makes the game very linear so there is a lot less exploration
-Atmosphere is cut for the most part. You don't really feel a sense of isolation
