Here's some photo proof that my new DS Lite does not support the WPA level of encryption that I have set up. It'll support WEP just fine, but I'm too stubborn to lower my network's security.

It might be some sort of firewall in the router that's keeping your games from running.

Yeah mine does that too. I'm just gonna buy that USB connection thing from Nintendo.

Pick yourself up a copy of Bomberman Land Touch -- see if you can resist tweaking those security settings then. At long last, a decent Bomberman game with online multiplayer.
