Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Today I'm gonna talk about something else. Not the Wii.
It's extremely hard for me to get jealous of the 360 or the PS3, their only killer aps (Gears, Halo, CoD4) end up boring me. Yea, I love online as much as the next guy... just not as much. I find all of those games very forgettable, so in the end, I really don't mind not owning these systems at all. There are a few things that have popped up that have made me think otherwise, though. As most of you know, the 360 has the Arcade. This isn't a huge deal, and still really isn't, but it still sucks. First, they got Geometry Wars, a completely awesome shooter. Luckily, the Wii got it, and a superior version at that, but it is very expensive. Becuase of that, I haven't bought it yet. The 360 also has Smash T.V., easily one of the best 8-Way shooters of all time. I really really really really really hope we get it on VC soons, otherwise I might pay my friend to buy it on his console so I can play it. Finally, the 360 got Ikaruga, for $10, and with leaderboards. I got the game, luckily, but it was 40-Freakin'-Dollars! Again, it sucks that the 360 gets these cheap, simple packages, while the Wii time and time again gets overpriced disc software. And to make matters worse, Treasure is seriously considering releasing Radiant Silvergun on the Arcade. This would be the first official American release of arguably the best shmup of all time. If the 360 got this, and us Wii owners were left in the cold... well let's just say I'd be really jealous.
The PS3 just got MGS as most of you know. This is easily one of my favorite series, and it wouldn't be too bad if atleast one of my friends had a PS3... but the chance that I'll play this game anytime soon is really low. Not only would a PS3 allow me to play this game, but I could also own every game on the series finally. I suppose that's about it, so if anyone wants to give me funds for a PS3, feel free to send me some $$!
