Today I finally caved and bought the GC version of Ikaruga. $40. Was it worth it? So far: HECK YES! Gamestop also has a deal right now for SSBM, I traded it in for $12, not bad at all considering I'll never play it again due to Brawl. So if you have that extra copy, go sell it. Back to Ikaruga, though. I played the first two levels so far. The first one wasn't too bad, and I had already beaten it a few times with someones trial version on their 360. The second level came out of nowhere and completely owned me though. It was brutally difficult, and I'm pretty excited(read: scared) to see the rest. If you can get you're hands on this game, do it, it's worth it.
I also rented the Wii game Baroque two days ago. Paying no head to crap reviews, and wanting a dungeon crawler I gave it a try. I must say it was a pleasant surprise and I actually want to buy it now. If you wanna learn about it, make sure to read the gamespot review. In a surprising turn of events, it is easily the fairest of the ones on the net right now. The combat in the game, although simple, worked, but it's the atmosphere and story that won me over. It is super messed up, and the characters are completely crazy. I've gotta say if you want a unique rpg, give this one a rent. That's all for now, peace out.
