For a while I have been hunting down GC games that I never had the money for last gen and have had some relatively good luck at finding them. So if you have any GC games that you liked and don't think people have played I would love to hear your recommendations, same goes for GBA, and DS games.

Here are the games I have bought since I started my search (unless marked, all games are GC):

  • Pikmin - $8
  • Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - $13
  • Luigi's Mansion - $10 (has disc read errors, does anyone know how much it would cost to get it buffed or if a new game would just be cheaper?)
  • Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - $7
  • Baten Kaitos Origins - $20 (not something I would personally recommend, but I can see how it can be fun)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker - $10
  • Super Mario Sunshine - $10 (this an exception to my list of here, I did have it at one point when it was released, but had sold it after a year and re-bought it about a year ago)
  • Pikmin 2 - $35 (found it today actually at a GameStop and it is in really good condition)
  • Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes - $20
  • Megaman Anniversary Collection - $13
  • Sonic Heroes - $10
  • Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (GBA) - $10
  • Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA) - $8
  • Starfox Adventures - $7
  • Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike - $13
  • Viewtiful Joe - $4

Games I am looking for still / have found someone willing to sell to me (unless marked, all games are GC):

  • Starfox Assault
  • Sonic Adventure DX
  • Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II
  • Tales of Symphonia
  • Skies of Arcadia Legends
  • Fire Emblem (GBA)
  • Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time (DS)

With the exception of Baten Kaitos I have thorughly enjoyed all the games above and find it hard that I went without playing them last gen. So if you have any games for the Cube, GBA, or DS that you think are worth playing, please let me know so I can see if I can find them.

For those that might be wondering, I am still working on Larry II when I get time (see previous blog for details). And I can still use people to make enemy/boss sprites for me, just PM me if you can make anything with MS Paint or any high end image program. I could use the help and your name will appear in the games credits however you want for your help. Its a great way to take up time if you find yourself with little to do at home.

sorry i didn't have time to read the whole thing right now, but i'll finish it tonight. as for the disk read error, some places will charge you $5 to buff it, but if you bought it at a game stop just take it back and they'll give you a differant disk. hope that helped a bit.

You wasted some precious 7$ for Sonic Adventure 2 my friend and I I would really not recommend it's half-assed prequel either. Also MGS:TTS is an excellent game, try buying it online if you can't find it in stores.

^ Personally I really like SA2, and I liked Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast, so thats my reasoning for wanting the GC version (since I don't have a Dreamcast).

@ mahoney - Thanks for the recommendations I already have Paper Mario (have had it since it launched! ), but I will try and look for the Star Wars game and Tales especially if I can find them.

Ok I could understand (somewhat), but Sonic Heroes? Whatever man, have fun .

If you ever want to get back to GBA gaming I would recommend Sonic Advance which I find great.

Luigi's Mansion= Personal Favorite!

-SSX Tricky ( Ridiculously easy to learn to play, and the combos! WHat!)
-Dead To Rights (Good Shooter, under appreciated)
-The MegaMan Anniversary Collection ( Need i say more?)
-NBA Street Vol.2 (For the fans of basketball but can't stand the video games)
-PhantasyStay Online (Only if u have friends to play with)
-Resident Evil 0 (Nice Graphics, good gameplay)
-X-Men Legends (grab a few homies and enjoy)

Hope this keeps u busy

^ Thanks EnzomeH, I have played SSX before and it is a fun game. And I love Megaman, so I'll try and remember about the collection next time I go out.

I don't remember where I bought Luigi's Mansion, it was a long time ago, and I don't have the receipt any more.

just wondering... do you play the GC games you purchase on your Wii or on the GC ???
Posted Apr 1, 2008 12:40 pm PT
^ I use my Wii, I have the GC still, but I prefer not to unplug the Wii to hook it up.

I also updated both lists with recommendations that looked interesting to me, as well as a few purchases I came across recently.
