Well, I finally made it through all the missions now and I'm busy helping guild mates through them. I'm really looking forward to the Summer mini-expansion, but it looks like the release will be neck-n-neck with the release of Myst V. If I received Myst before the expansion, GW will probably go on hold until after I've completed Myst (I'm getting too old to be flip-flopping around).
One of the things that ArenaNet has started doing, which brings back very fond memories of Uru, is using in-game characters to interact with the players. ArenaNet is using a frog in Lion's Arch for this. You never know what time or in what district the frog will begin to "speak" (the frog is always there in every district, but you don't know when it will become "enchanted" and start to speak). It gives cryptic clues about the upcoming mini-expansion and will answer (also cryptically) some of the players questions (so you know that there's a human actually participating and not just some pre-programmed script being displayed). I think it's a good way to keep player's interest peaked until the expansion happens.
