Yeah, I know it's been a while since I last put anything in here. The reason for that is simple. There's not really been anything I considered worth writing about, but I figured I'd just drop by to say hello and to let those who wondered know I'm still alive.
The big news for now I guess is that today I finally went to my first movie since seeing The Dark Knight back in August of last year. I got to see X-men Origins at last. I'm probably the only person left in the country who hadn't seen it yet, if they were going to, and I have to say, it wasn't bad. I do wish they'd given Gambit more of a role in it, but what they did give him wasn't bad (but where did his cajun accent go?). Maybe he'll show up again later. Now, hopefully, when it comes time for this movie to come out on dvd, they won't only release it on widescreen and blu ray like they did with iron man.
The other "big news" is that after all this time, I was also able to get the third and final season of Beauty and the Beast on DVD today. Until now, the price had been prohibitive, and I couldn't see paying the same for only three dvds as I did for each of the previous two seasons' six. Today, though, I found them on sale for only slightly over half what they had been, so I grabbed 'em. Now, finally, I've completed the series, even if it's quite a few years after I had hoped to have had it finished. Now maybe I can move on to some of the cartoon series I've wanted... someday.
