Ok, this is getting a bit ridiculous now. The other day I answered a question in the sports forum that asked "Who do you want to win?" and they were referring to the Super Bowl. Now, since I pretty much detest football, I gave my honest feelings about who I wanted to win -- Nobody. I also added that I'd actually prefer it if they just canceled the whole thing and put some decent programming on instead, and that I'd feel pretty much the same whether it was football, basketball, or baseball. Hockey is the only one of the four major ones I can tolerate, but as I stated in that forum, I wouldn't lose sleep if they canceled that too.
So someone replied that they couldn't tell if I was being sarcastic or not, since it WAS a sports forum after all. Another person had replied to their post as well, before I received the message telling me I had been found in violation of the TOS agreement. (This always strikes me as ironic, since the "offending" statement is removed, yet anyone quoting the statement is allowed to keep their posts up, complete with quote, which had also happened, in this case.) Well, I figured I should go back and explain my reason for posting what I had. I had not been sarcastic in answering. I was being totally honest. Then, to address the fact that it WAS a sports forum, I also indicated that there ARE some sports I do enjoy watching; they just don't happen to fall into the category of THE BIG FOUR. I simply answered the original question that had been asked in the thread. Who did I want to win? Neither. And TV.com has also asked in the past that people refrain from one word posts, so I was stating the reason why I felt that way.
Today I come on and find yet another TOS violation warning message for the post that I went back and sent to explain further that I wasn't being sarcastic. So I'm not supposed to give one word answers, but yet when I explain why I gave the answer I did I get a warning too, so tell me exactly what IS acceptable, cuz I can't figure it out anymore.
Sometimes it's the little things that really make a difference, and this time, to some anyway, what I've got to write about would seem to be miniscule, but oh well... First of all, after more than thirty years of trying to do so, I have tracked down two model kits from the original (and still better) Battlestar Galactica TV show back in 78. I'm talking about the Colonial Viper, and the Cylon Raider. When these first came out, I was unable to buy them. I never even ever saw them in the local hobby shop that I can recall. Then the hobby shop closed and the kits stopped being produced. Now, finally, they've been re-issued, and I managed to find a website that sold them which took money orders, so I ordered myself one of each. At the moment, never having ordered from this company before, that's all I'll go for, but I do hope to buy at least one more of each. Now if I could just find the original Galactica model re-issued...
The second item I have to mention is that I also managed to get a couple of cds that I've been wanting for years. The first is a three-disk set that includes the first three albums from KISS. I
The last thing is rather odd. My doctor's office manager had to bring her new laptop in from home because the one they had at the office was getting too full, and today she offered to give me the old one, complete with all program discs to uninstall a lot of what she had on... for nothing. She was going to include the printer along with it, but I told her I didn't need one of them, since I have one already. In fact, I think I might have one up in the attic too, but it never worked right, so who knows... I might have gotten rid of that one. But that she'd offer the laptop in the first place was amazing.Granted, it's an old one, not nearly anywhere brand new... but that's how these people are. They're incredibly giving and helpful. The only thing was that if the new laptop's screen is too small for the girl she has working for her to be able to use, she said, all deals are off. Still, how could I complain about that? So maybe soon, I'll have a "new" laptop to play with...or not. But the models and the cds I am really looking forward to, so we'll see how that turns out.
I am not sure that this will work at all so this is just an experiment. I am trying to change text colors here. Right now, I'm using red, but who knows if it will actually transfer into actual print that way.
The odd thing is that the text color selector menu does NOT work until I click on the preview button at the bottom ... then I'm able to bring the color selector up. As of yet, i haven't been able to figure out how to change the color of text already typed, so if I were to change my mind after everything's been typed in, i'd have to cancel it all and set the color then re-type it all again. There's got to be a better way than this.
Well, here goes nothing. Will it show up in red? or will it just be black on white, like it's been since the BIG CHANGE? We'll see.
