Hey everybody.. I can't believe it's been almost a whole year since I've been active on this site! I am still alive, however, and lots of things have gone on. No big news though... I haven't relocated or gotten married or anything like that. A couple of months ago, I started volunteering at the local hospital, though, so I guess that's somewhat big. Oh, and I got a car last November! That's pretty good. It had been more than ten years since I had a car. But now I got one again.. It's a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2. It's in really great shape and has low mileage. Well, I hope to be visiting some blogs soon and catching up with old friends! Cheers for now!

ELL, gang, today is the day of the Penn State vs. Notre Dame college football game, airing at 3:30pm EST on NBC I believe. So, for PSUIrishDave, who would I be rooting for? I might be like Brady Quinn's sister, who attended the Fiesta Bowl this year wearing a composite Notre Dame-Ohio State jersey, because although her brother is the star quarterback for the Irish, her boyfriend is the star defensive tackle for Ohio State! Imagine that.

All things considered, it's going to be a gridiron combat of apocalyptic proportion today! Well, not really. I'm rooting for the Irish though.

ELLO everybody! Long time no see... or, blog.. or something. I promised that I'd be checking in now and then... or at least I meant to promise. Anyway, so here I am, checking in. Not too much has been going on with me lately. I've just been doing the same thing as before: therapy and such. My television watching has basically been Doctor Who and the Weather Channel. I've been catching the 2nd Series of Doctor Who via downloading, because all American cable stations suck, with all the split screens, voiceovers, popups and station watermarks. There is no way I could get BBC television stations in the USA, so... the only recourse is to download. Man, I really like the writing and production these days!! This season's highlights I think are the Cybermen two-parter "Rise of the Cybermen" and "The Age of Steel".

Anyway, GOOD NEWS!! In case you hadn't read a previous blog I'd written about my little birdie Shamrock accidentally singing some of his tail feathers, that was back in March, I believe. He finally lost the last of the singed feathers in this molting season. Of course, Shammy has really no clue of any difference at all; he just goes about his business like before!

Take care everybody -- see you sometime soon.

Danny Kaye surpasses all others in my heart, above all other greats in comedy and music alike. He had an unmatchable gift for buffoonery, even better than Lucille Ball. His talent was limitless in singing complicated songs, as evidenced by his...

What is so great about Tom Hanks? His eyes alone have an uncanny ability to communicate the widest range of emotions. Sure, as he gets older he may have to rely more on the servitude of his eyes to convey those comical aspects that in the parlance...

Bishop Fulton J. Sheen was born in 1895 and was raised as a Roman Catholic. Before anyone even thinks of forming the idea "pedophile" in their heads, consider this: 1895. Though no generation in history can be thought of as being exempt from such...
